Brush, was conceived out of a desire to offer something that was nonexistent in the salon industry. A tranquil, calming environment with one on one client service. Brush- Palm Springs, is your very own personal salon. Each client is given private, personalized attention by owner James Entwisle. Together you will discuss any issues you may be having with your hair texture, scalp problems, color desires and cut.
Along with expert advice each client sits in a soft leather styling chair which looks onto the San Jacinto mountains and the uptown design district of North Palm Canyon Drive. Brush is enclosed in a glass Atelier, which is in the historic Gallery building. While being pampered by James' expert techniques in color, cutting, styling and scalp treatments, you are offered select coffees, teas, wines, beers, and whiskey.

It disappoints me to have to write a negative review as I love this unique, personalized salon, and Barry is a lovely person. I looked forward to both experiences, but unfortunately each time left a bad taste in my mouth (I went a second time to give him the benefit of the doubt). Marlene C. is spot on with her review. I read about Barry and his establishment--Brush-- in Palm Springs Life. I anticipated it would be a fun "one-time Palm Springsy' experience to get my hair cut there while on vacation. And I also expected I'd get a decent cut. It was a great experience--Barry is charming. The shop--and Barry-- not at all pretentious. And the cut he gave me exceeded my expectations. This very talented stylist and colorist sent me an email confirmation that my full highlight would be $130. Upon leaving my appointment, Barry ran my card but did not give me a receipt. When I got home that evening I was surprised to see a $400 charge. Barry did not inform me that his pricing had changed, plus his website still reflected $130 (has since changed). Barry is an exceptional person, stylist, and business owner. A true master of his craft, the attention afforded you is second to none. I walked away feeling better for wear and excited to explore my day with a sharp new cut. The next day I was surprised at the ease in which I was able to style my hair. Barry said that he cut my hair in a style that matched the natural flow of my hair and he meant it!
