Coastal's Xcel program is a competitive team for ages 5-18. Xcel has practice 2-3 times a week and competes a full season starting in January thru April. Our Xcel team is part of our developmental program. Tryouts are in May. Xcel team tryouts are in May. Services
We offer a variety of gymnastics classes for children of all ages & skill levels. Whether your child is looking to have some fun in a safe environment or wanting to progress their gymnastic abilities, we have a class for you! Our outgoing and well-trained staff provide excellent customer service and take pride in teaching our youth a physical education they will carry with them throughout their lives.
Coastal Gymnastics offers open play for children of all ages. During open gym, children have time to explore the gym and burn energy in a safe environment. They will have access to the vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble track, and foam pit. Coastal coaches will be supervising as well as assisting the gymnasts if needed.
Swing, jump, climb and roll your way through your next birthday party at Coastal Gymnastics Academy. A gymnastics birthday party is a perfect & unique way for your child to celebrate with friends and family. Guests will love the high-energy activities and our state-of-the-art facility.

We had so much fun at our first ever Tricks for Treats Halloween Carnival! It was so exciting to see all of our gymnasts and friends in their costumes. We did an assessment with another gymnastics facility and sure enough, my daughter tested into level 2 not a preschool type program (Radical Rollers) which she would've had to remain in had we stayed at Coastal. Not only that, she was asked to join their team that meets 2xs a week (2hrs each day). We tested another gym out a few days later and same, she was placed in level 2. We were so happy at Coastal but I'm so glad I sought alternatives that my daughter could thrive in rather than being held back. She would've been MISERABLE in Radical Rollers for another year. I don

I absolutely adore this gym! Coastal gymnastics encourages a healthy training environment for every level and class available. As a member of their JO program, I am impressed by the passion and care for both the sport and the children training under them. In addition, the recreational coaches are well trained and understand how to work the equipment and spot properly. Their response to COVID was well thought out, as team members are expected to wear their mask while training and the equipment is cleaned in between each group. Poor customer service when trying to contact the staff. No one ever answers the phones and you are forced to leave a phone message with hopes of getting a phone call back. I stop bringing my child in October because we moved further inland to Fallbrook. Paid services for November, December, and January (was charged membership fee). I left a message the first week of December and never received a callback, which led to charges in January $100. I had my wife call and eventually emailed them through the website portal and they said we would not get charged for February and that we were not eligible

My 4 year old asked me out of the blue if she could do Gymnastics, so I came across Coastal Gymnastics on Yelp. It's been about 6 weeks or so an my daughter absolutely loves it. She looks forward to her class on Saturday each week and participates in all the activities, follows directions from the coaches and isn't distracted or bored like she was in Karate. They have a large sitting/watching area for parents and a cafe with coffee and snacks. The price for my daughter's age group is very reasonable. They also allow you to make up a class if you miss one. So happy we found this place

My daughter is currently enrolled and she just loves Coach Marcie! She looks forward to her class every week. I love how the open space for seating lets me see her the entire time she's in the gym space. The only reason I dropped it down a star was the sign up process. While the desk people are friendly the sign up process wasn't that breezy. We took a free first lesson and just signing up for that entailed me calling then being directed to the website then being directed to call back. They wanted my credit card information but I told them we just wanted a trial class. After our trial

My daughter has been at this gym since October 2015 and she just loves it. The coaches are all amazing! She really enjoys learning new gymnastics skills as well as performing in the annual gymnastics show in December. We were at a different gym for years and this one really focuses more on the individual child and what growth they need in gymnastics. She just loves Coastal and I highly recommend it to all who are interested in gymnastics Rec or competitively.

We are new to Coastal and our kids love it. We are so happy with the easy enrollment, payment and all the kiddos get to do in class. My kids have gained more confidence. I added to the family website "Carlsbad Macaroni Kid" as a great local activity for kiddos.

The owner Ellie and Staff including Hope are amazing...love the coaches and their passion for the kids. We started at another gym. Their coaches were always changing and quiting. We have been here over 2 years now and same coaches, same staff and still the best drive and care for the kids. Totally go and try the gym out..

I have one child in the dance program and one on the Xcel gymnastics team.
My dancer loves taking jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and tap! The teachers are fabulous and the class sizes are small, which allows for a lot of dedicated time for each child to learn and thrive. The class times are very convenient, as is the location right off of Palomar Airport Road. I am amazed at how much my daughter has learned in the last year and a half. She is more confident and happy than I have seen her in years and I feel that I owe much of that to the fantastic dance program that Coastal offers.

My daughter, Layla, started at Coastal a few months ago and she can't get enough of it! She absolutely loves coach Yoselyn and coach Trace. They always know the kids names and are extremely friendly and caring.
I started my daughter in the class that was listed for her age and they happened to be testing that day. They moved her up a level right away because she was able to complete the skills.
We're loving the Summer Special and hope that they do it again next year! I'm excited to see where my daughter goes with this gym.
