I don't know what happened to them since the 2020 pandemic. But they are no longer what we'd reference.... a legit site. I joined a "test profile" in 2020, as some actor friends had current or old profiles. My headshots were good. My info all good and clear. Then upgraded to a PAID account in Dec 2021. No notifs or contacts about jobs thereafter. But didn't think too much about it, since I was busy with Backstage and AA. Unfreaking believable. I joined the site during the 2020 lockdown for FREE. Spent over an hour listing my credits and uploading my photos. Submitted to a few auditions but then got busy with work. Now I go to log in, and get an error message telling me my email/user/password is "not found" and no option for any password reset. So I end up trying to create a new profile and suddenly the only option is to pay a huge $200 fee??? Not happening.

This is probably the only online casting company based here in Los Angeles that charges over $100 for something that should be valued at ... Oh $10. They have always been a marginal asset for actors looking for work, they offer very little value, and when they decided to "redo" their website they actually charged actors almost double what we were paying before. I originally had four profiles there from various agents, after their update I can only find one profile with nothing on it. I spent hours trying to get all the information on one profile and finally said why don't you guys

Been a free member on this site for many years. Finally I received an audition to tape. I taped my audition and was able to upload my taped audition. The client also wants a selfie with the video submission but I get an error message that access to my camera is denied. I tried another computer and camera, same message. It will not let me submit my video audition without the selfie. I decided to see if I can directly record video. I get denied again but this time it tells me to reload the page and give permission to use my camera. No where is there a setting or an option to give permission to use

This is a business solely designed to pray on want to be struggling actors. Enough CD's use for commercial breakdowns that as an actor in LA IF you are being submitted by an agent commercially you are forced to keep a profile. A profile that costs a bare minimum of $150 annually. It provides zero other value. The annual value was $55 a year ago. A total scam.

The upload speeds are what really get me. It takes 30 minutes or more to upload a 100mb video, and most self tapes are 100mb or more. Very difficult when you have multiple self tapes you need to upload to CF and you're just sitting there waiting for 2 hours (while the casting director is likely casting another actor)

Watch out for their auto renewal! Also they do not have a prorated policy. That means if your policy cancels on December 1 if you cancel before December 1 you lose the service and are downgraded immediately even though you were auto charge for a year or the previous December 1. I was told that I would have to contact them for cancellation November 30 in order to avoid losing any time that I've already paid for. This has got to be illegal! They are very strict about not giving any refund either. I literally had to mark my calendar out for next year to handle this. I contacted them a few days

Don't waste your money. The only thing you will find is non union commercials and student films. Actors Access is by far the supreme casting site to submit. And to top it off, you pay for a year and if you don't cancel before the year is up they will automatically bill you and not refund you the whole amount. Casting Frontier is a joke and a terrible actors site.

Casting Frontier could improve by answering my question that I took my time to write to them. They can also try to have their website be more transparent. Their Basic Profile states that I get Limited Direct Submissions. However, it continues to ask me to pay when I try to submit. It shouldn't say that it's included, if it's not included. If you have to pay, it's not included. Thank you.

This website is great, it rocks for actors, agants/mamagers and casting directors. They arewell organized, not expensive, and the people who rate it low and say "I never booked anything" are being clueless.
They don't BOOK you, YOU or your REPS submit your profile for specific roles and CASTING chooses you, or not, to audition. IF you get an audition, show up on time, are prepared, and are right for the role, you may get a callback. There are many factors why someone books a role or does not. Don't blame the website!!!!!

Compared to LA Casting, Frontier Rocks. I like that I can control my own headshots and not pay $40 just to post 2 headshots (like CN/LAC). Union actors prefer Frontier over LA Casting - at least the ones I know. And I've been doing this for over 30 years.
For folks complaining about auditions - that's not their primary service. It's not their job to get you auditions. They are primarily a site used by commercial cds to communicate with actors about auditions they get through their agents. The jobs posted are arbitrary and paid for by 3rd parties, just like every other casting

Not a very good site to self submit, the breakdowns are very minimal. If your located in Los Angeles I’d recommend LA Casting because if anything pops up on the breakdowns through Casting frontier I find that I’ve already submitted through LA Casting. They’re pretty similar, just LA Casting seems to have a lot more to offer to those who like to submit themselves. The only reason why I got Casting frontier to begin with is because my agency told me I needed to be on it so they’d have another platform to submit me on. I personally think it’s a waste, just use LA Casting and Actors Access
