Our powder coating is famous but you wouldn't know it! You'll find our powder coating on several of the custom bikes from some of the first American Chopper shows that were aired. We indirectly powder coated the rims, spokes and hubs for the Miller Welding Bike, Jay Leno Bike, Blues Bike, POW Mia Bike and Davis Love III bike.
Custom metal fabrication often requires a durable powder coated finish. Custom Powder Coating Industrial Division is a batch operation specializing in aircraft quality, small to medium, custom powder coating runs. Every item, large or small, is inspected by hand, sand blasted in our own shop, prepped and coated by professionals and cured in one of our big ovens.
All powder coating starts out as a colorless powder but once cured in our oven it becomes a durable colorful finish. The powder coating process uses a solvent free dry mix of plastic resins, pigments, and fillers that melt and fuse together when heated. The solid particles of coating are electrostatically charged in a spray gun and carried by low velocity air to the surface of the piece to be coated.
We have hundreds of colors & textures to choose from including: Glossy, Metallic, Clears, Flats, Veins, Hammer tones, Candies, Glitters and Wrinkles. Depending on the application, powders are available in Polyester, Epoxy, and Hybrid formulations. At Custom Powder Coating, we have a large inventory of in-stock colors to choose from.
You hear everyday about pollution and its effect on the environment. A lot of that pollution comes from harmful solvents, and thinners used in the wet paint process. Some of these automotive paints are actually toxic. Metal plating such as nickel and chrome use heavy metals that are extremely toxic to the environment.
