Services
Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) are an integral part of our care teams. APCs consist of physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs). Both PAs and NPs provide high-quality psychiatric care for our patients. Similar to physicians, APCs require advanced training and education beyond their initial medical training.
As the medical director of Comprehensive Behavioral Health, located in Staunton, Virginia, Timothy J. Kane, MD, provides comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for adult patients. Dr. Kane is board certified in adult psychiatry. Dr. Kane completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at University of Virginia.
A psychiatric evaluation is a diagnostic tool employed by a psychiatric provider. It may be used to diagnose problems with memory, thought processes, and behaviors. Diagnoses can include depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and addiction. Include the patient while making decisions about an initial treatment plan and treatment options.

Literally missed work and drove 45 minutes only to be turned away because it took 14 min to complete paper work. The scheduled appt time was shorter than the drive to get there. This was a barrier to recieving Healthcare. Something that could've been prevented by having a plan in place by this practice. I won't be returning. If they truely wanted to help their patients, I wouldn't have been turned away after walking in the door at my scheduled appointment time. It's great that the positive reviews get a response. It would be even greater if you acknowledged the negative reviews and used the constructive

I recently had a new patient appointment with Dr. Kane. I had scheduled the visit bc I was interested in learning more about Comprehensive Behavioral's alternative methods to pills that they offer. I was extremely impressed by both the facility and staff. After just the one visit, I felt so comfortable that I decided then to leave my current mental health provider and be seen permanently by Dr. Kane. I could tell that the doctor was genuinely listening and cared for my well-being. I felt safe and comfortable opening up to him, even though I had just met him.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Kimberly Hugo from Comprehensive Behavioral for four months now. She’s great. Very attentive and professional. I was very depressed before. Now I’ve got myself back. My relationship with my families have improved so much thanks for the treatment I get here. The overall environment of the facility is clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Comprehensive Behavioral to anyone who needs help.

This practice is great! I've been seeing Pam to get the right combination of medication for depression and anxiety, and she has changed my life. I feel like my old self. They knew what they were doing when they chose getbacktoyou.com as their website. Everything from phone calls into the office, messages sent through their portal, telehealth visits, in-person visits and the technology they use, has been amazing. I have been a patient for many many years and have typically been satisfied with the care I get. The office staff always seems overwhelmed and are short and direct with patients, that’s ok but I don’t think they realize they are dealing with people when they are at their lowest and a little more empathy would go a long way. Last week I was triggered with extreme anxiety it has actually been very scary for me as I am.

They could care less about people that need help. They don't communicate and over schedule so there is no buffer at all.
If you want help I suggest finding someone who actually cares about people. These people do not. They are just in for the money and numbers.
Very disappointed and will not recommend them to anyone. This was an awful experience. If you're going through things, they will just make it worse. Find an office that's in it to help. Unlike these people who are in it for their bottom line.
