Lori Goldstein, owner of Organic Roots Eco Salon, began her career in the salon industry more than 30 years ago. Starting cosmetology courses in high school, Lori would go on to own her own salon at the age of 24. She left her former Skokie-based salon to pursue a Bachelor's degree, but returned to the salon business in 2013 to pursue her passion.

We are conveniently located just three miles off the Edens Expressway (I-94) at Dempster Street (east exit). Our salon is accessible and ample free parking is available.

I have been having my hair colored and cut at Organic Roots Salon for 5 years. Everytime I have had top notch service and stellar results. The organic hair coloring products used produce a very natural and long lasting color without harsh chemicals. All providers are pros of the highest level.

Great experience at this salon! I’ve only been once but I’m sure to be back. I came in wanting a specific style and a good chunk off of my hair, and Lori delivered! I am so happy with the results, and Lori made the entire experience so pleasant. The 70s music station was also a bonus!

It was my first time here and my plan was to try Cezanne express. Lori was excellent and very upfront about the services and told what Cezanne would do to and not do to my hair. Salon products are organic and smell like some of the herbal/natural products and have a calming effect on you! I loved the products and home-like salon experience and of course the Stylist!

Awesome salon. I have been to many expensive salons on the North Shore, but this salon is the best. My hair was dry, frizzy and tired looking. I have gotten Keratin, color and a cut from this salon and they have all been sensational. My hair looks soft, shiny and wonderful now. I also feel much better about using all organic products instead of putting a lot of harsh chemicals in my hair which were drying my hair out. I highly recommend this salon and Stefany.

My Salon Stylist was the owner Lori. I was very satisfied and pleased with her work! My daughter suggested I start using organic &/or chemical free products. She found this salon 45 min away. It’s worth the trip! Lori took her time and explained. She’s personable and I enjoyed talking with her ! I highly recommend Organic Roots Eco Salon in Skokie, IL.

This place is wonderful! Their hair products, including the coloring,are all organic and therefore not harmful in any way. They are also more gentle on your hair and my hair is in MUCH better condition since I started going there. Lori, the owner, is awesome. She does a beautiful job with highlights and also does a great job with haircuts. I highly recommend this salon!

Coloring my hair used to really bothers my scalp. I found a place that uses natural, organic color. My scalp does not itch and burn while the product is on my head. Stephany is my go to stylist - she does a wonderful job with color and style. I highly recommend Organic Roots, especially if you are looking for a gentler hair color process.
