In 1997, Dan started in the San Diego pool industry as an electrical contractor. By 1999 his company started doing gas lines, with plumbing and excavation following shortly thereafter. By 2001, Dan had 45 employees, two excavation crews, two plumbing crews, five gas and electric crews and one tile and coping crew.
His company went on to become the largest subcontracting swimming pool business in San Diego county. Between the pools he designed and sold and the subcontracting, the business had its hands in 800 pool projects a year. While Dan enjoyed owning a large business, he made the decision to keep it small in Lake Havasu City.
