A wide variety of options are available that can be tailored to suit not only your medical needs but also your fashion preferences.
There are a number of reasons why you might prefer contact lenses to standard eyewear: a glasses-free look, hassle-free vision correction, wearing non-prescription sunwear and goggles, or the convenience of not having to worry about misplacing your glasses. If you have a high prescription or astigmatism, contact lenses may provide more enhanced vision correction than glasses.

Jax Vision Care: unprofessional.
I used the website to "schedule" an appointment online. By late afternoon the day before the appointment (early morning) I still hadn't heard anything back confirming or denying my appointment. Concerned, I called and it turns out that function of the website doesn't actually schedule an appointment. It just creates a placeholder that someone will eventually look at and you may or may not get it depending on how long that takes them. If at all.
I'm going to take my business elsewhere and try to find a more responsible optometrist's office.

I've been coming here since I started working Downtown. They always have appointments available after 4 pm, so I don't have to worry about a long wait or many clients coming in. Dr. Brown is really nice and always gets me in and out for my annual eye exams. He explains things in an easy to understand way, and I always feel I can ask questions or voice concerns without scrutiny. Insurance covers my exam with a $10 copay, and the only things I have to pay out of pocket for are the Optomap and contact lens fitting. The Optomap is the alternative to dilation, so I don't have to worry

I had a wonderful experience at the Hogan St. office. Dr. Colleen King is professional and knowledgeable about the eyes. She answered all of my questions and i thought my eye exam was outstanding. All of the staff that i met were very professional from Dana, Nick and all of the others. I picked up my new glasses today and i am very satisfied. I will return for more glasses and exam.

No bad comment about doctor but workers are incompetent
From my personal experience first visit was great getting my glasses they then broke and I ordered a warranty replacement called in two weeks later because I work 7 days a week and don't have much time and they said the shipment would be coming soon called again probably at about a 3-4 weeks later and they Informed me that my glasses frames that I was waiting on are. No longer made so I said why didn't I get a call informing that of course. No reasonable answer. So then I ordered the same frames again in the navy. Blue color only option and

Having lived without glasses for decades, I had my 1st vision exam in 7 years yesterday. Dr. Brown and staff were friendly, cordial, and very accommodating to someone not used to the environment. I would recommend doing the Eye Mapping, it is an amazing tool that allows you do visually see your eyes health on a level previously unable to obtain. Well worth the cost.

I recently started working downtown and needed a closer eye doctor, so I made an appointment with Jax Vision Care. The receptionist I spoke to make the appointment was very friendly and they set everything up for the next week. I was happy to have a noon appointment so I could go on my lunch break.
As with all downtown places of business parking could be an issue. I was able to walk from my workplace, so that is convenient. Unfortunately, they seemed to be quite busy at the time of my appointment so I had to wait over 30 minutes to be seen. That was the only negative of my experience and the

I was recently seen at hogan st office for my annual exam. The staff was very welcoming as soon as I walked through the door. Dr.King Was very friendly and she was very thorough. The young lady Dana that worked me up was very sweet and knowledgeable as well. She was very patient when teaching me how to take my contacts in and out as I am a first time wearer. The optician was helpful in helping me select the perfect frame. Overall it was a great experience and looking forward to my follow up for my contacts in a week and for my new glasses to come in!

Eye Exam: Very good and professional.
Service: Beware of this place. They told me they took United Healthcare when I made my appointment (their website also says they take United), but only until after the visit was completed was I informed they didn't take my version/network of United Healthcare. They do not reply to emails and they do not assist you when you come to the office to discuss billing. Now I have to file an out-of-network claim which will only give me 30% of the benefits I was expecting. I would recommend finding another office that will be honest with you about the insurance

I would deff recommend any person to come get their eye exam and glasses or contacts from Jax Vision Care! They were very kind, professional, and welcoming. I was pleased to be seen as soon as I was done with my paperwork, and out the door as soon as I picked out some glasses. Their frames are all nice, which made it difficult for me to choose from. But the ladies up front were very helpful to pick the best that was made for me! Thank you for your service, I will see you next year!
