Services
Dr. Bert Coco was born and raised in Moreauville, a rural town in central Louisiana. Raised on a farm, he decided to become a veterinarian when he was a senior in high school. He studied animal science while attending Louisiana State University (LSU) in Alexandria for two years and then LSU-Baton Rouge where he was an undergraduate researcher in the reproductive physiology lab.
For many reasons, some clients find that they are unable to travel with their pets or have a medical emergency that requires someone else to care for their pets. Westside Veterinary Clinic is pleased to offer only the best boarding services for your pet during their stay at our facilities. We offer separate areas for dogs and cats, keeping them separated during exercise and feeding times as well.
My name is Debbie Hartsfield and I have worked in the veterinary field since 1990. I actually started my career here at Westside Veterinary Clinic working for Drs Bert and Sally. My husband's career in the Army moved us to Texas in 1993. I continued to work at a veterinary clinic there and trained to be a veterinary technician.

We highly recommend Westside Veterinary Clinic for your pets! The entire staff was personable and impressive, showing genuine love for their work, care and concern for our dog and us. Unrushed, Dr. Coco and his assistant, Hannah, gave us their full attention, answering all our questions. And an added bonus: When you call for an appointment or have a question, you speak with a kind and knowledgeable receptionist, not a recording or robot. Totally impressed and satisfied with this place, Dr. Coco, the staff, and the service.

They saved us. We had chargers that were higher than expected for surgery and they not only took the unexpected fees completely off, being close to half the cost, they also inquired if we wanted to make a payment plan for the rest.
They wouldn't even accept us paying half of the unexpected fee saying that they would rather us be 100 happy even after we insisted.
Before surgery Dr Coco went through all steps and precautions taken. There was no point where we felt like we were inconveniencing her with our questions. Our concerns were her concerns, legitimately.

They are not only quick to get you in for care and treatment, they almost always work past scheduled work hours to ensure proper, quality treatment treatment every animal that comes through. They are thorough, genuine, professional, and have hearts of gold. They are also the best priced around. I cannot recommend them enough.

We moved to the area at the end of last year with our 6 rescue dogs. One of the most stressful parts of moving for me is knowing I will have to try to find a new vet clinic that fits our needs. We originally tried a vet that came highly recommended. Unfortunately, I was very unimpressed with their level of care. I was so relieved upon meeting the staff at Westside. I come from a large metropolitan area so the small country setting had me apprehensive at first but it has proven to be a positive. The doctors are both very caring and have taken the time to really understand my dogs needs and history

I can't rave enough about Dr. Bert and the staff at Westside. My puppers got ahold of some trail mix with raisins (a big no no), and he was experiencing some severe tummy issues. I called the office in the morning, and Dr. Bert suggested I bring him in for a blood panel to check kidney function. Who knew raisins and grapes could be detrimental to a pup's health?!?
I love that they offer curbside service during this Covid-19 time, and all the staff that came out during the visit were in full masks and gloves for extra precaution.
I would totally recommend Dr. Coco 1000%
