Very honest place. Took my Kia Soul in. It was running rough. Dave the owner checked it over at no charge. They fixed my car. It is running perfectly now. Very reasonable. Very Honest and Excellent Work. I have had no problems. Did not try to sell me things I did not need. In fact quite the opposite, told me my brakes were still good and so were my shocks.
My car was ready when they told it would be.
I took it to another place before this and they wanted almost double to fix it. They recommended work I did not need.
Dave the owner is a huge dog lover. He adopted a Rottweiler that was scheduled

I highly recommend this place for your automotive service. A friend recommended them to me when I was told I probably needed a new alternator. They could have charged me a lot for one and I would have never known that I didn't even need one. They checked it out for me and didn't even charge me for the diagnostic. I appreciate honesty especially when so many people take advantage of women when it comes to car problems.

Great auto shop! Dave always takes care of my car. Straight shooter. Real service. I won't go anywhere else. Definitely recommend Lou's Auto if you want someone you can trust taking care of your car.

I want to thank Lou and David . For their outstanding service. This shop is extremely excellent. I had brought my Mustang in for new lower control arms A while back. They turned out to be defective. They were replaced with no cost or labor for free. These guys are so honest. I would recommend these guys for any thing needed. They do excellent service . All so older classics as well. I can't find words sufficient to describe how pleased I was with the service at Lou's. Dave, who bought the garage from Lou (Lou is still there) did some fairly major work on my car. I picked it up after hours and there were some significant problems. I emailed Dave, he came out on a Sunday morning to my home, worked on the car, thought everything was okay, but didn't want me driving it alone until he was sure. He took me to the airport, rented me a car, took my car back to the shop, worked on it and took two days to make absolutely sure it was okay. He was a complete gentleman

I moved to Cathedral City about a year ago. Was looking for a great shop that knew what they were doing as I have a couple of classics and "others". Went to Lou last week with my GTO. They fixed it within 2 hours, gave me suggestions of other reputable specialty shops for specialty work and were very reasonable. Lou and David really know what the automobiles, they are polite, and very fair. Bring some treats for the dog...sweet baby. This is a great area to have work done on your car. Safe, plenty of parking, and many detail, interior, body shops close by.

Lou's Automotive is the ONLY shop I trust to work on my cars. Lou and David are two of the nicest and most decent people you will ever meet. Their work sets the bar for every other mechanic in the Coachella Valley. They do excellent work, always stand behind their work and treat their customers with respect. I've had a lot of older cars that needed lots of repairs and tried many mechanics before finding Lou. He is simply the best. I I took my car in for an oil change this past week. Lou and I discussed what kind of oil my Lexus needed. He did a great job changing the oil and the filter. He also looked over the car to make sure there was nothing else wrong with it. The price was extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend Lou's Automotive.

Great service from this shop. Lou is knowledgeable, communicative and his prices are fair. Work is done on time and done well. He diagnosed and fixed a faulty thermostat and did a coolant flush (my car is 10 years old with high miles) and the car made it through heavy summer commuting without a hitch. Also, he seems to know a lot about different types of cars and gave me tips on what to watch for with my vehicle. Will definitely be going back.

A former colleague turned me on to Lou's Automotive. I found Lou to be a fair and honest businessman. He and his mechanics are knowledgeable and their work is, as far as i can tell, safe and reliable. I've had Lou do basic maintenance, brakes, brake lines and a couple of other small projects. When faced with a major repair on an aging vehicle Lou advised against going forward rather than make money. To me that is a sign of someone who's convictions are in doing what's best for his customer. I recommend Lou highly.

We bought a house in Cathedral City last summer. We found Lou's on the recommendation of a friend. We find ourselves very fortunate as it is rare to find a mechanic you are able to trust completely. Lou is an honest man and does great work for a reasonable cost. He so reminds me of my father who was an honest mechanic/bodyshop man his entire life. I would send anyone I know to Lou with the utmost confidence that they would also be completely happy.

Took a friend to Lou's Automotive. They diagnosed and repaired her car while we waited. She needed a battery and they replaced the cable ends. Her freon was low so they serviced her AC and we were on the road again in a short time. Love this shop. Would recommend them to everyone.
