A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye, which can cause one's vision to become blurry. Diabetic retinopathy is an eye disease that damages the blood vessels in the retina, and usually affects both eyes. Glaucoma is a common eye disorder that is, in fact, not one but an entire group of disorders with a common label.

Mack graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Ohio State University with a degree in molecular genetics in 1994.
My cataract surgery went as well as I had hoped for with no complications or discomfort. The difference in my vision is amazing - the difference between looking through a dirty window and looking through a clean, clean window. I can only say if I had to recommend or do it again it would be with Dr. Mack and his associates.
A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye, which can cause one's vision to become blurry. They are common with age and can occur in one or both eyes. The clouding usually occurs slowly, but can happen quickly, especially after trauma to the eye.

While cataracts are not painful, they do cause many symptoms such as blurry vision, fewer details, glare while driving or reading, dull colors, changes in your glasses prescription and double vision in one eye.According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, more than half of all Americans will develop cataracts by age 80. Cataract surgery usually can restore vision lost to cataracts and often can reduce your dependence on eyeglasses as well.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The wait was a bit longer than I expected. The service to care for my eyes being tested and the new lens prescribed was very helpful. The nurse who attended “Maria” was patient and took her time with me. Dr. Young showed me the picture of my eyes and explained that my Macular degeneration in both eyes had not changed and that I was still diagnosed as Dry. She also reviewed my new lens to be done and corrected something ever so slightly. I new have my new prescription.
A young woman assisted me to get on the portal yet I am struggling to complete this

I just recently had an aye exam at Canyon Eye. The whole process was quick and easy. The entire staff was very friendly and pleasant. I'm terrible at making decisions, so dreaded picking out new frames. The associates were a great help, and made it easy.

I've been having problems all year with Bells Palsy, double vision and other illnesses. When I was experiencing double vision because of Bells Palsy, Dr. Young told me to go straight to the emergency room. Because of her efforts, the physicians found that I had three aneurysms. If it hadn't been for Dr. Young, those aneurysms would have been undiagnosed and I could have had a an stroke. Thank you Dr. Young, and Dr. Mack for continued care of my eyes and health.

This is my first visit and I did not have good experience, I went to this office 5 times for my glass correction( which cost total $500 plus for glass only). When I have a new glass, it did not feel right to my right eye (have reflection of light on right side). I went for re evaluation of my eyes, glass was sent to lab for correction, after that I had pressure feeling(heaviness) on right eye side. Went 3 times for correction, my lens was change to new frame, feels balanced but I see reflection of light again. I push little right side, the reflection is gone but I feel heavy on right eye again

Best eye doc in Columbus. Had to research to find him. Recommended by Alcon. Progressive, personable, empathetic, perfectionist -- uses the newest equipment. This is truly the best care and results you will get in this City. If you can afford it, upgrade to laser, ORA, and Pan OPtix (for cataract). I called everywhere, but no one at the medical school even knew what I was asking for. I would have traveled to the Cleveland Clinic if I had not found Dr. Mack because I always look for the most up to date doctor I can find.

This was my first visit and I was not really impressed by the office, doctors and staff. My main complaint is that Dr. Mack did not talk much to me and did not seem to be forthcoming with information about my eyes. He simply had me look into a blue light machine and all he told me about the health of my eyes was that I had inflammation. He then prescribed a very expensive eye drop whose side effects can cause cataracts. I had to literally pull information out from him by asking a few questions as he did not seem to want to volunteer information about the health of my eyes readily. I left his office
