From sweet to savory the food is absolutely delicious! The menu is stacked with vegan items and the price point is perfect. We can't wait to return when we happen to be in town again!

Rented this space for my daughters birthday party and had a wonderful experience! Despite having a little scheduling mix up in the beginning, the staff handled it wonderfully- with great poise and professionalism. Love supporting small businesses in my area and this is one not to overlook! Definitely recommend to friends and family and plan to keep in mind for future events. Great job Mockingbird Cafe 😊

Every time I've been to the Mockingbird Cafe, the food has been fantastic and the service has been friendly. It's well worth the drive over from Blacksburg for a tasty breakfast or lunch. I've recommended this place to many people over the years.

Mockingbird is a wonderful gem in the NRV. The pimento cheese biscuit is wonderful! We love the monster cookies and ALL of the gluten free goodies. The staff is friendly and helpful. Also, they made my gluten free wedding cake. It was amazing.

BEWARE…..do not reserve their space for any type of event. Nothing in writing stating no refunds yet when we had to cancel our event due to a tragic event we were told “sorry no refunds.” We were told when we booked the space “we’ve had to give so many refunds due to Covid.” Extremely rude & unprofessional staff! Wow. I am blown away by this little hole in the wall bakery and am disappointed I found it before I move because it is one of the best places in the area. Their egg wrap is a close new favorite of mine running up to my dad's famous wraps. The portion sizes are alot more than I expected. Great vegan and vegetarian options. The service was phenomenal and the wait reasonable. I will definitely be returning with my dog to enjoy their tables outside.

Great service and the coffee is good! The pumpernickel bagel was served hot with cream cheese (which had a citrus taste to it, which was kinda odd but no worries). Also got a ginger cookie which was delectable!

Everything me and my partner got was amazing. The vegan biscuits and gravy was soooo good. And the lemon scones was the best of the best. I love scones and this was the best and bring vegan made it better. We will come back to the amazing establishment.

Just moved back to the area and found out about this delicious bakery. If you’re vegan you have to go here! So many options. The biscuits & gravy are chefs kiss. Wish I would’ve known this gem was here sooner!

Mockingbird is my favorite place to pick-up breakfast. They have the most amazing big bagels (they kind of remind me of warm soft pretzels). I also love their breakfast sandwiches (my favorite is the egg and cheese on potato sourdough, and I’ll often get a loaf of this bread to go too). Their cinnamon rolls are delicious and giant (and vegan!). My favorite cookie is their citrus cookie (although I’m hesitant to mention it, because they’re so popular they often run out, haha).
I also love this place because they cater to both vegans / vegetarians and meat-eaters (that way I can make both
