Evie's Bistro & Bakery

Picked up a slice of coconut cake today as a holiday treat for myself. It was about half the size they normally serve and pretty scrappy looking. Must have been the last slice. Paid $6.00 for the slice plus $2.00 tip. Not their usual quality. So disappointed.

I ordered a Lemon Creme cake to serve to my Book Club. It was absolutely beautiful and utterly delicious. The cake itself was moist and had a great consistency, and the creme filling and icing were heavenly. This is the third cake I have had from Evie's and all have been outstanding. I highly recommend Evie's when a special occasion cake is needed.

Gave it s shot and was pleasantly surprised. Had the tuna melt and it was delicious. Server was awesome. Fresh flowers on every table. Very nice atmosphere. Had the mounds cake to go and all I can say is OMG. So delicious!

Last year my ability to speak was taken away, only recently have I been able to start getting back out into the world. Doordashing had been great till this place, not particularly busy I watched several servers walk back and forth by me multiple times before just pointing my phone in one of theirs direction to get the attention for my order. After messaging the customer and apologizing for the wait I sat and waited while I watched others being attended to immediately upon approaching the bar where I sat. I’ve ordered several times via DoorDash and the food is so fresh and delicious! It’s one of my favorite places and they offer delicious vegetarian options as well. I love their take on nachos and quesadillas! Their cake is so fresh and tastes like it’s made from scratch. I would recommend it.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Waited almost an hour for a Cobb salad and the restaurant was not that busy at all (half capacity, if that). Watery ranch dressing. Fiancè did not receive his potato salad. Plenty of people that came in after us got their food before us. The manager came to our table to blame the kitchen staff, yet the computer system has been broken for at least a week. Came last week to get coconut cake, which was very underwhelming and dry. When it was time to pay it took another 15 minutes for us to get our cards back. Server was very inattentive to us

I’m from NC but every time I come in town I have to order from Evie’s!!!! They never disappoint!! Cakes are really good!!

First a quick note on the restaurant before I rave about their wedding cakes -- This is one of my new Roanoke favorites. Its cute, its hip, it gives you a chance to get into Roanoke city, the food is great, and you can eat gourmet cake by the slice! I no longer live in Roanoke, but this is my go-to to meet friends every time I am back!
