Services
They say the best intentions go to waste. If clients don't create and coordinate their wills, asset ownership forms, beneficiary designations, trusts, and medical directives, they have an estate ambition instead of a plan.

Failing to get the essential documents in place can conflict with your plans, leave your children without the guardian of your choice, and increase the likelihood of disgruntled heirs, lengthy probate waits, and diminution of assets. We can determine what estate planning documents would best accomplish your goals, and ensure they are drafted in accordance with your wishes and the requirements of the law.
People are living longer and the risk of becoming disabled or needing long term care at some point during your life is increasing. According to the 2013 Genworth's Survey, the annual cost of residential nursing home care in Massachusetts is $125,925 - $133,225. Medicare will not cover these costs. In order to qualify for MassHealth, you must have no more than $2,000 in assets.
Some people think they can save money on legal fees by preparing their own MassHealth applications. However, the application is a complicated document that most find confusing. Eligibility can often only be won with complex legal and financial planning necessary to overcome Medicaid obstacles. Even nursing home professionals, who deal with MassHealth on a daily basis, often refer prospective residents to an outside professional for this reason.
Caring for a family member with special needs is rewarding, but at the same time can be a daunting undertaking. We understand the legal and social mazes you face, and can help you maneuver through them. Our office will take some of the weight off your shoulders, and advocate for your loved one's rights with the necessary agencies.

Never answered or returned phone calls. No response to emails after consultation -nor did Ms. Asher email the information she stated she would -waiting over a month. I now have to look elsewhere for assistance with my Mother-in-law. At least she could have had the courtesy to suggest someone else if she was too busy. How unprofessional.

I would recommend Asher law office for your estate planning. I recently used a different lawyer to do my parents estate planning and I wish I had waited. Kim was very professional and thorough in explaining all the different requirements that we would need to consider to plan for our future. And I learned a lot of things that I had not learned from a previous lawyer that I used for my parents. Kim did not push us into purchasing any type of service at that initial visit. She will be putting together a proposal and prices for us and work with us from there. I like that she is very Hands-On that
