Often, a guardian and a conservator are the same person. It is an enormous responsibility. Appropriate estate planning documents, such as powers of attorney and health care proxies, often do not exist for an impaired person. If no forward planning has been done, it is up to the court to decide to assist a disabled person with his or her day-to-day decisions.
Starting a new business enterprise is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. We have assisted hundreds of Massachusetts businesses get off the ground and running whether it be from the inception of a completely new idea or to the purchase of an existing business. We have the experience and expertise to quickly work with you to get you organized so that you can begin to run your business smoothly.
We understand that the legal issues that elders and their families face are often in response to a crisis event, such as a nursing home admission. Therefore, we take pride in providing attentive and compassionate legal guidance to assist the elder and the family through every step in the legal process, while protecting the elder's interests and zealously advocating for his or her rights.
