An ankle sprain is when an outside force causes the ligaments in the foot and ankle to stretch beyond what they would do naturally. Ligaments are located throughout your body and it helps to think of them as elastic bands with a series of fibers running through them. When those elastic bands, or ligaments, are stretched too much, they can tear partially or all the way through.

Horrible experience when trying to book appointment. Told receptionist that I would have to pay out of pocket first $500 due to my deductible. She then said that they wouldn’t bill my insurance. I told her it wasn’t necessary it would be out of pocket. She then said that they wouldn’t give an anything to my insurance company. I told her that she would have to provide some sort of receipt of payment that I could provide my insurance company as payment. I hadn’t even made an appointment! All she cared about was how they we’re going to get their money. I finally said, if you weren’t going

I absolutely love Dr. Lamour! He has a warm bedside manner and makes me feel very comfortable. He did an amazing job with my big toe fusion and worked very hard to make sure it got scheduled, even with my insurance difficulties. His staff (Mary, Dominga, Olivia, Christy and Stacy) is so very personable and are very kind and helpful.

I went to see Dr. LaMour for severe heel pain in both feet. He quickly diagnosed the problem, set up a treatment plan, and assured me this would get better. He was right. I'm following his plan, and my heel pain has greatly improved. He is easy to talk to, sets my mind at ease, friendly at every visit, and has a wonderful office staff. If you're feet hurt, call his office today!

Everyone at the office is very pleasant and helpful. I was able to get immediate relief on my plantar fasciitis from Dr. LaMour. He made great recommendations on sneakers and a whole regimine on things I can do in order to make my pain go away! I highly recommend this podiatrist for your foot needs!

My experience with Dr. LaMour was excellent. The staff was friendly, and Jeff knew what he was doing. I have arthritis in my ankles, and had come in with the expectation that I would have to begin twice-yearly injections for the pain. However, Dr. LaMour gave me the alternative option (NSAIDs), and after a month of taking them I didn't need them anymore. I can fall asleep without pain, and can actually go do things like a person my age should be able to do.

After foot surgery by other doctor who works fo a large practice, after all the visits, and disappoints, my time I found Dr Lamour. After URGENT care doctor recommended him. I set my priorities to excellent care above distance to the practice facilihighly recommended seeing a, doctor without referrals. I made a costly choice, i could have lost my foot.
I searched for a specialist, by the advice of an ER clinic because they couldn't help me.
I was extremely comfortable with the staff, that professional and friendly Family Foot & Ankel clinic I is the place I deserved to be treated from the start

This was my first visit to a Podiatrist and I was grateful to find a great doctor right away! Dr. LaMour and his staff are very welcoming and very helpful. Dr. LaMour is very detailed, professional, funny, and willing to go the extra mile to find the right treatment for my injured left foot. They were able to x-ray me at their facility, which was really convenient and they were willing to work with Medicare. For a girl with disabilities, that always hits the high watermark. Thank you so much! I appreciate y'all. I will definitely recommend this Podiatrist.

Yelp is not yet big on doctors, but it should be. If I had read the reviews on Yelp about Dr. LaMour before I went, I would have not gone. i did not read them, so I went and had the same bad experience that everyone else did. I felt like a cow being milked for money. Dr. Lamour was willing to sell you and bill you for a multitude of treatments that got no result. His staff is rude, and he is quick to defend them. I am changing Dr's, to see if I get a different result, regardless, I will find a Dr. That doesn't see me and my insurance company as a milk cow.

I was a patient of Dr. Lamour from October 2009 until July 2010. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and he went through the standard fare for this diagnosis: wrap and exercise, neither of which helped me. In December he prescribed Celebrex and gave me a steroid shot in my foot. That hurt like the devil but I had a pain-free Christmas, and remained pain-free for a month. I had a second shot in February, and a third in May (you can only have three or else the fat pad in your heel breaks down). I was still in a great deal of pain by July so he decided on shockwave treatments. This is where

I have serious Toe Nail Fungus on all 10 of my toes and have been avoiding doing anything about it for awhile. Finally, after seeing a billboard on S. Lamar of Dr. LaMour's Laser Treatment and a FREE consultation I decided to check it out.
The moment Dr. LaMour walked into the room he was at a seriously high level of intensity. He fired off all of my options for fungus treatment in rapid machine gun like succession punctuated at the end with an abrupt "Any questions?". I was stunned. His bed-side manner was AWFUL!!!

DO NOT DO THE LASER FUNGUS REMOVER!! First, it costs about $800 and insurance does not cover it. Second, IT DOES NOT WORK. Do not waste your money!
I have been seeing him for over a year now (for the same problem). Time to find a new podiatrist! The other reviewers here are pretty much right on. Don't go to him.

Dr. Jeff LaMour has treated me for a couple of problems and I was very pleased with him on both occasions. He quickly diagnosed the plantar fasc. and nerve issue, treating them right away. He is very knowledgeable, down to earth, compassionate and has a great sense of humor. His staff are friendly and answered the questions I asked. He and his staff are very personal and made me feel at home, unlike many other doctors' offices I have visited. He was not just out to make a buck. He told me my options and suggested the most efficient and economical, instead of performing unnecessary treatments

Steer clear folks. Jeffrey is a very friendly podiatrist but he systematically overcharges.
He has a "funny" sign on his wall: when a doctor tells you "this looks serious" it means "I want the deluxe Harmon Cardon stereo system in my new Mercedes". Ha ha. Believe it.
First case: I had a plantar wart. He used a non-covered expensive lazer treatment that cost me nearly $1000. After several painful visits the wart was still there. Finally applied a compound called Canthecur which worked like a charm. He had a side business with whoever supplied the laser equipment

Well, I'll try to make a very long story short. First off, don't bother with laser treatment for toe nail fungus, it doesn't work. My big toe on my left foot started to turn yellow on the corner after an injury where the nail almost came off about 5 years ago. I took care of it for many years and the fungus never really spread. Well, I decided to go in and have laser treatment done. He quoted me $900 dollars to treat the ONE toe. He told me that he would have to treat the other four on the same foot just to make sure (there's nothing wrong with them), but I said fine. I came

I saw Dr. Lamour for an ingrown toenail that I could not remove. He was a nice man, but I felt like he was an "out for money" type of doctor instead of an "I want to help you" type of doctor. There was a "funny" sign in the room that talked about things he would say and the bills he needed to pay, i.e. please come back for a follow-up visit meant that he needed to pay his BMW bill. I'm sure it was just a joke, but things he kept saying made me feel like the sign was actually true. Also, he had given me shots in my toe to numb it and then left the room. While
