Cedar Cafe serves authentic Greek food. Specializing in pork & chicken gyros (Thin slices of meat, marinated and stacked on a spit, cooked to perfection, one layer at a time). We are best known for our fresh salads and our own homemade oil vinaigrette dressing. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options, are also available to satisfy each palate.
Our industry today consists of stores & big chains that sell frozen ready to eat food. Tasteless, with no imagination and never fresh. People are getting tired of the same menu, and looking for new ideas. As an owner, I always wanted to stand out, so I decided to build a menu that would be unique and authentic, from recipes that I have learned throughout the years.

Small Cafe, food is always good, On this particular occasion I try to call in a food order since I had cash in hand ready, From the background sounded as if they were busy, I was placed on hold no matter... 10 minutes go by nothing on other end, I decided to drive to the restaurant, I work about 5ish minutes away in Hanover, As soon as I pulled in, the call ended on the other end. Was disappointed at first. But as soon as I went inside waited my turn, Spoke to whom I assume was the Owner/ Manager, I explained what happened and showed him my phone where i was placed on hold for an extended period

Previously I loved getting food from cedar cafe.
The last time I ordered I was in boston then stuck in traffic and couldn't get there in time to pick up my order, which never happens. The owner called and screamed at me. I was apologetic and he was so rude.
I left the money on the door taped that night. The owner then blocked my number from ordering ever again. Who does this - Crazy experience!
Would not go back because of his treatment!

Really great gyros with lots of options and toppings. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options if that's your thing. I usually get the Spartan or the Mykonos. Their original is also pretty delicious. Great selection of meat and toppings. Their feta sauce is probably my favorite condiment. They have salads and other meal options. Their orange pie is amazing.

I lived in the area for several years and never discovered this place until recently. I tried a bunch of things for takeout from this Greek shop.
The authentic pork pita sandwich had sliced pork, tomatoes, onions, french fries, tzatziki, and a homemade sauce. It was delicious! The meat was not as salty as the one in Zo in downtown Boston.
The authentic chicken pita sandwich was just as tasty as the pork one.
The breaded eggplant which was served with tzatziki was also very good. It was still crunchy when I tried it at home.
For dessert, I tried the baklava and the orange pie. Both were good

I went to Greece two years ago for a couple months, and I really fell in-love with the food there (shocking as I'm kind of picky). I came home and was seriously craving Greek, and was disappointed everywhere I went until I found Cedar Cafe. Even if I go into Boston, it's not as good as this place. The staff is always nice, helpful, and really fast. The food is great quality, never soggy or cold or any complaints typical "fast" food has. I love you guys!!
(Special sauce is ~insane~)

This past Saturday my husband and I were running some errands together and because we were in the neighborhood we stopped into Pita Gyros for a quick lunch. Every now and then I get a craving for a gyro and I was excited to try the ones offered here.
We both ordered the gyro that on the menu is called an "authentic gyro". I am not really sure how authentic a pork gyro is..it might be however it's not what I am used to. I grew up eating gyros made from lamb shaved off a spit and this would be my preference.
Here you can also get a gyro with chicken...which I couldn't
