This place was beyond disgusting. It looked like they tried to not clean it. The bathroom was unbelievably gross and there was a cookie on the floor, black hair throughout all the blankets and a black footprint on the wall. The list goes on. It was also itchy and stuck at 73 degrees because the place is centrally heated. When I called and asked if they could lower the heat they told me to open a window but our window didn't have a screen. We were boiling. I give it one star because i have to and the location wasn't bad.

Stayed on 6/12/21 it was a last min decision to head to VT, and everything around southern Vermont was booked, found this little gem online, it is a cute little mom and pop place. Comfortable bed ant hot water saver the day for me. The only fault I found was the in room coffee pot was dirty, other than that it was a great place, will def stay again. If you want a remote place near nothing where there roll up the sidewalk at 11pm, this is the place

I'm sad by the comments left about this place. This is the cutest place, with food and gas and a history all within walking distance.
Would definitely stay there again.

The owners and staff were amazing and attentive to our needs . We had filled 2 hotels and then some and they even notified the police we were back and the police even blocked traffic in order for all the cars to be able to merge together . If you’re ever in the area I’d highly recommend The Viking Motel and their quaint vintage charm!

This place was awesome. Stayed here this past weekend during the snowstorm the couple who owns it couldn't have been more helpful. They had the parking lot plowed by the crack of dawn and our overall stay was perfect. Next time I go to Mount Snow I would definitely stay here again.

The Viking motel is a very warm and welcoming establishment. Not far from supermarkets, restaurants & entertainment areas such as Mount Snow. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable about the area, well known to the towns people and familiar with them. I'd say book a room and stay.

Rustic, vintage, dated are the three best words to describe this motel. Nothing special, not super clean, but it's a place to sleep and walking distance from downtown.

Worse motel I've EVER stayed in. My expectations were low but I was still disgusted. Damp, smelly, uncomfortable and loud guests around me (woke me at 2:00am). And I woke up itchy. Ugh.

Sleep in your car.

I found it to be charming... it is an old, outdated motel but the beds are comfortable and the room was warm! Close to Mount Snow! Easy check in. Very affordable.

Why five stars? Because it is exactly as depicted on website. Older motor lodge with slightly dated decor and functional bathroom. We opted for two double beds that were made up with crisp whiter than white clean sheets. We called in advance for late arrival and were efficiently greeted and checked in upon arrival. Room was very clean and comfortable. Windows were open but we closed them due to heavy rain. Ac pumped out cool air and there was no problem sleeping. As a bonafide "snowflake", i have no problem supporting locally owned businesses even if they support 45. Its my way of making

Stayed here last summer. Absolutely disgusting. Dirty bathrooms, moldy, carpets in bathroom (gross). Squeaky bed, loud air-conditioner that doesn't get cool. I'm pretty sure every 5* review is by people who work there. Trust me, stay away

Called there this morning to see if there were any rooms available.
The man answering the phone was very rude!
Not sure how you do business much less stay in business with that attitude!!

I call thier number he answers the phone.

"Viking!"

Me: "Good morning sir "

Him: "Yeah!"

Me: "I was curious to see if you had any available rooms for the coming weekend?"

Him: "No!"

Me: "Oh, okay. That's too bad."

Him: "You do know it's Columbus day Weekend right?!"

Rude!!

Good value. Clean, neat. Wi-go. Flat-screen TV. Never rebuilt cafe after Irene but offer on-room coffee. Restaurants close and deli across street.

Proprietors love Trump. But they run a good place. Second time here.

Great price point. Not bad at all for the money. Had speedy vacancy with short notice just stumbling upon it . Close to other establishments in the area.
Hahaha, think Tamara was having a really bad day with her review... give it a shot! The room was clean and most importantly the sheets were clean! It's not a chain type of hotel/motel, so don't have those expectations. It has an old school/ homey feel to it.

Not sure how this place is getting good reviews. The only good thing about this place is location - close to center of town.

Do not bring your children here - it is simply unsanitary there.

Pack light clothes like tanks and shorts - it get up to 80 in the room and all the windows are sealed shut!

Bring house shoes and your own towels - everything is dusty and dirty and has carpets, even the bathroom, which is leaking and moldy.

They expect you to tip - there is an envelope next to a grimy 2-cuo coffee maker with Thank You written on it!

Housekeeping is performed by unlikely worker man, and

A friend of mine ( also a skier) had recommended the Viking Motel to me. I was planning a ski trip to Mt Snow for a few days in Feb. The Location is perfect.( about 15 mins from the mountain. The motel is owned by the nicest couple that respond quickly to email questions prior to arriving as well and great recommendations for where to eat. Rooms were clean and warm :)

I am booking again for another spring ski trip to Mt Snow
