Miaoyuan Wang, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon whose focus is to provide the highest standard of care for her patients. Dr. Wang specializes in diagnosing and treating all types of skin cancers including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma.
Shelley Penna, NP, is a fellowship-trained Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatology for the past 8 years. She received her Masters in Nursing from Regis College and completed her fellowship training in dermatology at the Harvard Affiliated Lahey Clinic program. She is also board-certified in Family Medicine.

I have been a patient of Dr. Masterpol's for years. She is so kind, thoughtful, calming and professional. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns. One time I had to have a cancerous growth removed and I trusted (and trust) her to ensure I was getting the best care. She is also a lovely human being and her staff are all kind, dedicated and supportive. I appreciate them also working with me to find the right skincare products for my skin. The Woburn offices are also beautiful! I can't recommend this practice highly enough!

Dr. Masterpol is incredibly kind, smart and friendly and after suffering from acne since my teen years she's the only dermatologist that has truly made a difference. The office is beautiful and clean and the staff couldn't be more welcoming and nice. I wouldn't imagine trusting anyone else with my skin than the team at DermPhysicians!

Dr. Masterpol is excellent! She is incredibly knowledgeable, takes time to listen to all concerns, and answers questions thoroughly. I always look forward to my annual skin checks with her. Also, the office staff is personable and kind, and the office is new and immaculately clean. Finally, with my appointment being during the pandemic, everyone at DermPhysicians made me feel safe with coming in (temp checks, mandatory face coverings, covid screening upon arrival). I highly recommend this office for all your dermatology needs.

After suffering with severe eczema for 8 years and repeatedly being given what I now know to basically be bandaids to the problem I went to see Dr. Masterpol. After one look at my skin and hearing about the great negative impact my skin condition had on my daily life and how much or restricted me she immediately took action to tackle the problem. She prescribed Dupixent which she knew would be met with resistance from the insurance company but she fought for me and won! I now exhibit no inflammation from my eczema and am now able to enjoy not just my day to day life but activities I have not been

Had an appointment recently at the Beverly location that was scheduled pre-COVID. Every business, medical or otherwise, is doing things differently with respect to the COVID situation, some better and safer, some not so much.
I must say that the office did things very well.....they are great physicians to begin with (Dr Masterpole is the best!) but it's obvious they take the COVID situation seriously and safely. Finished my appointment and in hindsight all the COVID precautions taken were safe, reasonable and simply done the way things should be done! Other places could learn from them!

My experience with DermPhysicians has been ultra-professional, seamless and as customer-friendly as can be. Rich the owner is an ultimate gentleman and very astute with his approach. Dr. Masterpol is a gem - within 48 hours of confirming that I had horrible poison ivy up and down my arms and legs, the poison ivy had retreated and I was back to normal, thanks to DermPhysicians! Thank you Dr Masterpol and the team!

I recently moved from Connecticut to Massachusetts and needed a new dermatologist. I expected to wait for an eternity for an appointment but Dr. Masterpol saw me in a very timely manner. She and her caring staff have been very responsive to all of my calls and many questions. So glad that I found this practice and I would highly recommend them!

I saw Lisa Samson for my annual skin check up this past Friday, and she was extremely thorough, answered all my questions, and was all around absolutely wonderful and super friendly! The office was pristine and the staff was so helpful. I loved my experience so much, we’re coming back in 1-week with our daughter. I highly recommend Lisa and the whole Derm Physicians of New England practice.

The office staff at DermPhysicians of New England is so kind and welcoming. Dr. Masterpol is a wonderful physician who takes the time to listen to all her patients and work to implement the best treatment plan. She has recently treated both of my children for different types of acne and their skin looks amazing!
