In 1980, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church established The Sycamore Tree Preschool as one of their many ministries. The preschool is located in the old parsonage next door to the church; this safe, comfortable "home" environment has a positive impact on children. In a project endorsed by NAEYC, High/Scope has tried to identify quality programs, which also provide good compensation for staff and affordable care for parents.
We were picked as one of ten programs in several categories (non-profits with various funding levels, Head Start agencies, etc.) in this Program Recognition Project. A nurturing faith-based environment providing affordable and appropriate early childhood education.

Peninsula Birth Network - Offers families access to their many options for care and support during their pregnancy, birth and journey into parenting. KSAC - Kitsap Sexual Assault Center provides counseling, support, advocacy and prevention education for victims of sexual abuse and other violent crimes.

Do you offer a parent orientation? Parent Orientation is usually held the first thursday of September at 7pm meeting in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. This night is planned for parents only. Do you offer all day care? We are a part-time preschool program only. Is Potty Training required? Your child does not need to be potty trained.
