Services
Jessica began her career as an Occupational Therapist at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan in 1999. She worked with clients in in-patient rehabilitation who had experienced orthopedic injuries, neurologic impairments and traumatic injuries. In 2005, after having her first child, Jessica began specializing in Pediatrics, working with children with Developmental Delays, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, Down Syndrome, Autism and PDD.
Jessica is a seasoned Occupational Therapist providing private services to children of all ages at their home or school. With years of clinical experience and extensive professional development trainings Jessica pursued numerous Yoga and Mindfulness certifications to enhance the work she does as a therapist.
We know our brain sends our body information, but our bodies send a lot of information to our brain. Yoga poses can be utilized to affect our attention, confidence, emotions and energy levels. Children practice being mindful of how they feel, identifying and labeling emotions, and tuning in to how their feelings affect their bodies, minds and behaviors.
