Harrison also owns and operates the 76 Station on Potrero Avenue between 17th Street and Mariposa. Due to countless requests by customers, Harrison decided to open a full service Auto Repair shop few blocks away, located on 185 Mississippi Street. Positive:Â Professionalism
The guard underneath the engine had come loose after being caught in a curb. I stopped at the shop to have them evaluate it. They interrupted their work, put it up on the lift, and fixed it and wouldn’t even charge me for it. Very helpful and I will surely go back to them for my next problem!

Autoshop is the best auto repair shop I’ve ever used which is saying a lot given I’ve lived in 4 different cities and have been driving for longer than I care to admit (25+ years). Harrison is courteous and honest (to the point that he has told me when I don’t need a service I thought I needed). I love my car and am grateful to have Autoshop to keep it in top form.

As someone new to the world of car repairs, I admit I was anxious about going in to have work done on my car. At auto stop, I was treated fairly and explanations were made regarding what exactly was going on. Highly recommend! As much as car repairs are a bummer, these guys make it slightly less of a bummer, and that's a big win in my book.

7 years since I started going here and Harrison and team are still 6 stars-level of service quality!!! Not easy in a pandemic. Smog check still ridiculously fast (15 minutes or maybe even less since I went to the store while they were doing it) AND they helped me solve another problem in that time: within 2 milliseconds they spotted why I was hearing a "weird noise" when I drive my car - a screw was stuck in my tire! They removed it and fixed it for free; happily my tire wasn't punctured. Very grateful and lucky to have Auto Stop nearby!

My sister recommended Auto Stop when I had a flat tire and needed somewhere close to repair. They were able to fix right away, and it was super affordable. When I needed to get my 20k mile service, I opted to stay local instead of driving to the dealer in Burlingame. Quick, friendly service again! Highly recommend.

I discovered Auto Stop by accident, because I needed to take a client's car for an oil change + tune up and she lives in Potrero Hill. Harrison is an honest, straight shooter. He will tell you what you need -- and what you don't. His time estimates are spot on, and he is just as up front about labor and parts costs.

8 years ago I brought in a pickup to Auto Stop that i was thinking about buying to have it checked out. Harrison impressed me as a very honest, knowledgable and patient person. Through the last 8 years i have been amazed at the great advice, reliable and affordable service, and their patience with me as someone who doesn't know that much about fixing cars. I have found this with every mechanic working there that I've talked to. It gives me so much peace of mind to have a mechanic I can count on to help me out!

Blew a radiator hose and swung in here on my way home to get it re-attached so I could make it home. I called ahead but when I rolled up my minor issue was resolved immediately. The tech pointed out that the radiator connector was completely shot, and that I needed a new one. He worked quickly and was quite friendly, and his repair got me home. I typically work on my own cars (I've got a new radiator on the way to my house!), but I much appreciate when I can stop in at a quality shop to get something done properly and quickly.

This place is awesome! Finding an honest mechanic is almost as hard as finding an honest plumber. Harrison and his crew are amazing. We had our catalytic converter stolen from our Prius (apparently this is very common in SF) and not only was Auto Stop able to replace it within a couple of days and at a price much less than the dealer, they kept their shop open late on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend to install a CAT shield (device that deters thieves) on our other Prius. I can't recommend Auto Stop enough!

Really great group at AutoStop. Dropped off a recently acquired vehicle that I knew needed pads, rotors, smog, and oil. Turned out to be a lot more than expected, but I was informed at every step and thus far every issue I had identified was addressed. Only thing I would note is that there is no alignment rack here so if you get new tires you will need to go elsewhere to do the alignment, as I had to do.

Today I went to get my car serviced at SF Toyota with my extended warranty and I was told that I needed new tires, (correct) had to replace my filters, had very dirty break fluid and my throttle body intake needed to be replaced.
First of all, I was already getting a quote at Costco for my tires for half the price and yes I got Bridgestones...since I had some time before my appointment at Costco I dropped by Auto Stop and met Harrison, I showed him my diagnostic sheet and he said my filters were barely dirty and he tested my break fluid. Dang, my last review was in 2013. So it's official: this has been my go-to auto shop for the last 5 years and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Harrison & his team are honest, hard working, professional and truly great guys. It's so hard to find honest and good mechanics but every time I've brought my car here, they've proven to me over and over that they deserve my (and my car's) loyalty. My car has had all sorts of issues over the years (tires blew out, dead battery twice now, weird squeaking noises, etc) and each time Harrison will always explain

Saw a coupon on their website for a $49.99 oil change/tire rotation special. Called in to make and appointment and confirm I could use the coupon. Came in when they told me to come in and mentioned the coupon. They asked for my address and contact info. Finally after all of that they tell me the coupon is really old has changed and it's now $59.99. The guy I spoke with on the phone confirmed that I had checked about the coupon. I was then told I have a truck so it costs more, though that is not mentioned in the coupon at all. Left immediately.

This place is awesome!! As a women there can be some skepticism walking into a body shop for the fear of getting haggled. Not here! I called immediately after my car started smoking and had the pleasure of speaking with Ken. He told me they had one rack left and will hold it for me, I rushed right over. Ken and Harrison are the best! Ken was very informative and patient, he took the time to explain what was going on with my car. He gave me his recommendations and his transparency as to what needed to be done was much appreciated. Pricing was very fair, so I agreed to the work. My car was ready
