Dr. Carl Johnsey O.D. moved his optometry practice from the Duluth Target to the Sugarloaf Mills Mall in 2011. In 2017 Dr. June Choe O.D. moved her Vision Galleria practice from Gwinnett Place Mall and combined practices with Dr. Johnsey. Typically Dr. Johnsey is in the office Monday, Thursday, and Saturday while Dr. Choe covers Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Along with standard checks for nearsightedness and farsightedness, we also look at your depth perception, peripheral vision, and susceptibility to cataracts or glaucoma.

Quality Eyecare will test their visual acuity to ensure they have a prescription if they need one, of course, but we're also examining your child's eyes to see if they're developing properly.

It's best to spot these problems with a child, so that the issue can be remedied. If your child has misaligned, lazy eyes, or another issue, vision therapy can help.
Quality Eyecare will check your contact lenses and make sure they're the right prescription for you. Wearing contact lenses requires additional checkups to make sure you're using the right prescription. In addition to a regular eye exam which checks for vision impairment and ocular health, a contact lens exam will assess your vision with contacts in place.

I made an appointment for my wife with Dr. Carl Johnsey. We were both patients of his and had seen him several times in the past. We received several reminders about the upcoming appointment with Dr. Johnsey. When we arrived at the practice (after taking time off work), we were surprised to find that Dr. Johnsey was not present. Instead, Dr. June Choe wanted to take over the appointment. This is the second time that I visit and I like it. They have a great and modern selection of frames for adults and children. The assistants are kind and very informative. Both Optometrist are kind and will explain any term or question you may have. The office is clean and has a nice calm atmosphere with a waiting area. I made an appointment and signed some papers; then with the help of an assistant, I tried different frames while I waited, which wasn't for long. The price is pretty good for the quality they offer. I really enjoyed my experience. Melissa the optician was went above and beyond in helping me pick out my new glasses and fixing my husbands glasses. The assistant was friendly and warming make me feel really comfortable during my visit. I seen Dr Choe she is awesome as always. She really takes her time during the examination. What impressed me the most is how a different doctor wrote my husband a much higher than needed prescription and she was able to catch it. Another awesome addition is how the practice offers additional discounts on certain frames.

Dr. Carl Johnsey is a consummate professional. I have been seeing him since before he opened his own practice in this location. He is extremely thorough, his staff is very friendly and polite, and he explains everything to you in very clear language. He also never seems to be rushed and takes his time. I've honestly never had an optometrist this thorough. He is the closest to an ophthalmologist of any optometrist I've ever seen - and much less expensive! Highly recommended.
