In my several years living in this area, how have I not known this optometrist to exist?? I've been having some issues with my contact lenses, and decided to find a non-commercial optometrist to take a look at them.
I called and made an appointment with Dr. Gary Pence, who was actually very helpful and didn't push anything on me I didn't want or need. He made helpful recommendations for future contacts and helped me make an order for some new soft contacts lenses. He took the time during the fitting to teach me how to put them in and take them off, then made sure they fit properly

I had the worst experience I have ever had with an optometrist at this place earlier this year. First, I have no problem with the optometrists there - they seemed very good and qualified. Unfortunately, an optometrist is only as good as their lens manufacturer and the staff that processes orders and on these counts, they flunk.
The new glasses I now have (bought two pair, not cheap) are no better what I have gotten from Dollar Tree. Because of quality issues, I am currently on my 3rd set of glasses this year and seldom use them unless I am at a meeting or need the better look, but as for

Dr. Spetalnick is a real pro. The office is nice. I took my daughter to be evaluated for contact lenses. Dr. Spetalnick performed a thorough exam. The contact lenses she suggested worked out perfectly.
Appointments were quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend Dr. Spetalnick for all eye needs.

I went as a new patient to the Chamblee-Dunwoody location. While unsure what to expect from the visit, I was pleasantly surprised. (why was I unsure? The office is in the shady/really old Kroger shopping center, where starbucks and guthrie's are)
First things first. Big kudos to Dr. Gary Pence. My husband and I both saw him. He was professional, but personable and friendly. He seemed really sharp. He was looking at my contacts through a lens and was able to tell me whether they were close to where they needed to be (prescription wise). I'm certainly no optometrist so I have not the slightest
