Aikido Daiwa
Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art created by Morihei Ueshiba (1883 - 1969). Aikido is a non-competitive martial art that utilizes throws, joint locks, and pins to counter the force of aggressors. The techniques of Aikido seek to blend and harmonize with the force of an attack and use dynamic movements and positioning to establish control.

Aikido also includes weapons training with the Japanese sword and staff. Continued practice not only improves strength, flexibility, and balance, but also focus, awareness, discipline, and confidence. Founded in 1979 by Jack Arnold, Aikido Daiwa has been teaching Aikido in Burbank and the greater Los Angeles area for over forty years.
Services
Aikido Daiwa offers aikido classes specifically for children and teenagers, where they can gain strength, discipline, coordination, and confidence with other kids their age. Our program offers a safe and supportive environment where kids can learn and grow. Classes are also an opportunity for your child to make new friends with children outside of their school.

Mr. Haydoki is the Master, not “an instructor”. Absolutely amazing mixture of dedication, professionalism, niceness and politeness. Not driven by commercial parents’ rip off. Does not consider children merely as source of income. He also has an art classes for kids! It is wonderful as well. His personality and multifaceted knowledge evoke one’ respect and appreciation.
Most importantly, he actually loves what he does! My 8 years old daughter and 10 years old boy are going there.

I have been attending Aikido Daiwa for about a year, Before that I trained in Kyokushin Karate. I can think nothing bad of this facility, every class is amazing and tought by experienced instructors. The first day I came to Aikido Daiwa I was greeted by Hideki sensei and attended a class which is when I became fascinated by Aikido

I have been a student of Aikido Daiwa for more than 15 years and I can say that it has been and is still one of the most important and enjoyable parts of my life.

Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art that focuses on conflict resolution and blending with your opponents. Don't get the wrong idea; it's not easy and it isn't slow. It is very active and always challenging. You will definitely get a workout.

But that is what is great about Aikido: It is for everyone. We have children, young adults, and students that are a little older at our school. You get what you want to get

If I could give Aikido Daiwa infinite stars, I would. It's a unique, hidden gem.

I suggest going to the dojo to watch a class. It's how I made my decision to train at Daiwa. Within a few minutes of the class starting, my immediate thought was "Yes! *This* is what I want to do!" This is coming from a guy who was never really into martial arts or staying in shape. Aikido Daiwa changed that. This spring will be my fourth year training at the dojo. Every time I walk in, I'm thankful for another opportunity to train. Without fail, I feel GREAT after every class. Daiwa&apos

I have trained at Aikido Daiwa since about 1995 when I was 13 years old, and have not stopped since!

This martial arts school is well-established and has a great community feel. You can become as involved in the dojo as you wish. I started as a child in the kid's class and steadily made my way to black belt. Plus, I was given the privilege of teaching the same kid's class I started in!

The school offers classes for almost any age range, including a new class for very young kids on Mondays. The school namely has a junior kid's class, a kid's class, a teens/young adult class
