Freedom Counseling is a group of independent practitioners that are committed to providing counseling services for each client with an exceptional level of care and attention. We are a multi-disciplinary mental health counseling center with an emphasis on helping people find freedom through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our therapists offer a diverse set of skills, backgrounds, and approaches, but are unified in the belief that Jesus and His power are the true source of freedom, hope and real life change. Freedom Counseling is conveniently located on the East side of Abilene. Our therapists offer some extended hours and accept same-day appointments (based on availability).

Carl's approach to counseling is fairly simple. He strongly believes that counseling is more about relationship than diagnosis. He will treat you as an individual, created in God's image, not as a condition or disease. It is his prayer that he can provide the atmosphere of safety and integrity necessary for you to press into the hurting and vulnerable areas of your life.

Sarah helped me to see that my depression/anxiety was mostly due to my own lack of self-worth and always basing my identity on what others thought about me, instead of on what God thought about me. Since I began seeing Sarah, my relationship with God has grown and deepened by leaps and bounds, and I'm able to move past those old feelings of worthlessness and no longer have
