Dry eye syndrome (DES) is a chronic condition that develops when your eyes do not produce and maintain enough tears to keep the eye's surface lubricated resulting in multiple symptoms that range from person to person. This can be due to a reduction in tear production or increased tear evaporation from a lack of lipid in the tears that stem from oil glands in the eyelids.
Early detection of eye disease is vital for preventing progression & potential vision loss. A Wellness Exam utilizes our Daytona Optomap for clear imaging of the eye & the retina. The Vision Centers prides ourselves on providing nothing but the best for our patients that is why we use the best machine available for exams of the retina with the Optomap.
These include disposable soft contact, bifocal/multifocal, toric, and colored lenses. I am writing because of the lack of customer service here. Gina was helpful at first, however I had to return my glasses twice. The first time the prescription was too strong so had to have my eyes examined again. It already had taken 2 weeks prior to this; another 2 weeks go by and now, the coating that was supposed to be applied was not done which now caused double vision when looking at any bright lights or traffic lights! These were brought back and a "rush" was supposedly put on these....over 2 weeks gone by again, and nothing offered to me to make this right......I'm supposedly

I have been using vision center since they first opened. Love the doctors and the staff. Now during covid they take so many extra precautions. I had a problem with my new glasses and my fault not the Vision Center. They fixed the situation and Gina was amazing in helping me. I cannot thank them enough. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

The exam and doctor were great and thorough, but the service, this past year to get my glasses, was the worst experience yet!
I spent nearly a thousand dollars for this last pair of glasses, figuring high quality glasses should get exceptional service! Not the case here!
Less than two weeks and I had to bring them back for scratches and smudges. They said the coating solution was bad, I accepted that response.
When I got them back, after 2 weeks, they lasted another week and I was back again! Every month from then on for the rest of that year, I was

I have a family of 5 and we have been seeing Dr. Carmen Schneider for years now. She is professional, knowledgeable, fantastic, fun and very welcoming. Staff is friendly and helpful. Place is clean and we'll kept, even before the pandemic they have wiped down the areas before and after each use. I recommend this place.

I have been going to Dr. Carmen Schneider at Summerlin Vision for probably ten years and she has NEVER disappointed. I can't say the same for the front office--there has been some REAL crazy there--wrong prescriptions, no prescriptions, some UNCOMFORTABLE moments. But, WAIT FOR IT, there's a NEW team in town and I just got my new contacts and everything went so smoothly. No one was lame, no one dropped the ball. And Dr. Schneider really gave me the big picture that it was OK that I didn't wear glasses much, even tho I had them. I'll be back--next year.

The doctors here are good,and this review does not apply to them but get your glasses someplace else. It took 23 days for me to receive my glasses and I mean 23 business days. The front desk repeatly lied to me about the status of my glasses. When I was ready to cancel the order they threaten me with having to pay over 171.00 dollars in cancellation fees. I will never bother with getting glasses from this place again. I waited over a week for them to email me the RX for my glasses. They are full of lies in this place and the front desk is clueless. Don't waste your time buying glasses here

As a medical professional myself, this optometry office is truly 5 star.
Dr. Schneider was very patient with me and my first contact experience. She is truly knowledgeable in her field and was able to optimize my eye script well.
The tech was also great in helping me put on contacts myself several times.
Highly recommended.

It's been over a month and I still don't have my glasses I paid for. Someone somewhere messed up and put the wrong coat on the lenses. (This is what was told to me when I called a week ago).
I never had any complaints about this place until now. Where is the customer service? Mistakes happen, but no one calls me to let me know? Why didn't anyone expedite my order when it was screwed up the first time?
My transaction isn't over yet. Let's see if they make this right...

I'm updating my previous post from 2016. I'm not sure what happened but there's only one original woman from before. The staff has turned over and is incompetent, to say the least. They don't tell you that the warranty on the frames is only for one issue only, so if your frames are not good quality and break twice in a calendar year, you're out of luck. I had an extended warranty on my lenses and the first ones came in the wrong size, and they forgot to reorder them again, even after I called and even came in twice. I moved to LV 6 weeks ago and was looking for new glasses. Because this place is around the corner of my house it seemed convenient. Great collection of frames, however... they ordered frames for me and would call me back if they came in. Never received a call. I called them several times and walked in but no frames. Last Monday I called them again and asked why they don't call me back (after 4 weeks) and that I have the feeling they don't want me as a customer. the lady promised me I would get a call from the lady that helped me. It's Wednesday now, still no call.

I went in on Saturday June 9th. I made an appointment for 9am and made one for E at 9:15. We got there a tad early and a lil after 9 I was called back for the poof test I call it. Not sure what it's really called lol but when they blow the air in each eye. Scares the bejesus out of me lol. After the testing and the gentleman (sorry forgot his name) recommending "the most important test to him" which ins doesn't cover I was escorted into the exam room. I waited about 10 minutes or so and Dr. Schneider came in. She was awesome as pie. Found out that I cant see a darn thing

I had great experience at The Vision Centers today! I hadn't been to an eye doctor in a few years and figured it was about time. Every person I talked to was extremely helpful. Dr. Schneider was great through the whole exam process, as was Victor who helped me with many of the tests. In the end, I am satisfied by the outcome! They weren't pushy about buying anything and explained all costs to be ahead of time to let me decide what worked best for me. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you!
