At Westwood Eye, we offer comprehensive eye care services provided by our highly skilled Doctor and Surgeon, Dr. Ethan Wonchon Lin. At Westwood Eye we DO NOT measure for eyeglasses or contact lenses, and we DO NOT write those prescriptions, therefore we do not have an optical shop. We have a list of wonderful optometrists specializing in glasses and contact lenses that we can refer you to.
A cataract is a gradual clouding of the eye's naturally clear lens. The lens inside our eye is responsible for focusing light on the back on the eye so that we can see things clearly. As the natural lens becomes cloudy, it diminishes the passage of light to the back of the eye. The light that does enter becomes scattered and blurred, often leaving you feeling as though you are looking through a dusty or foggy window.
Laser Vision Correction (LVC) improves vision and corrects refractive errors with a laser. This treatment can reduce nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The two most common methods for LVC are laser in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK) and photorefractive keratectomy (PRK). Both LASIK and PRK use the same laser to reshape the cornea to dramatically improve your vision.

Dr. Lin is an amazing doctor, highly recommend anyone with eye concerns to pay him a visit. I was experiencing blurriness and headaches from my astigmatism and was referred to Dr. Lin through a friend who spoke great things about him. Before I went in for my consultation, I communicated through email with Dr. Lin, he answered all of my concerns prior to the office visit.
Dr. Lin knew I was coming all the way from San Francisco to see him (which I didn't mind, because great referrals are hard to come by) and he was very accommodating, he checked in with me a few times to make sure I was okay

I was looking for someone to get my lasik done and my friend who got hers done last year really recommended Dr. Lin. She said he gives his honest recommendation. It was the only place she went where she didn't feel like they were money hungry doctors trying to make a sale.
I contacted his office in Feb to schedule an appointment but his office said his new practice won't be open until mid May. Dr. Lin personally contacted me in May apologizing for the delay, that due to covid he will not open his office until June 1st so he can recommend other lasik doctors in Las Vegas. I am moving

Dr Lin is a very concerned and caring cornea specialist from UCLA. I lost my vision and he would not give up on me until he found the issue. Today I have almost perfect 20/20 vision. If it were not for his knowledge and persistence I do not believe I would be seeing today, I highly recommend Dr Lin!

Dr. Lin is an outstanding physician and I would highly recommend him to anyone. As a healthcare provider I understand how important it is to have good vision to take care of my patients. I was extremely nearsighted, hated glasses, and had trouble keeping my contact lenses in for so many hours a day. I had been interested in Lasik for years and finally decided to see Dr. Lin for a consultation. He was thorough, caring and compassionate and took the time to explain my options and which would be best for me. Dr. Lin is an amazing doctor who actually CARES about his patients. He takes his time to answer the questions I had and was extremely approachable. Not once did I feel like I was asking a dumb question. He provided details and directions regarding our best options and gave us plenty of samples afterwards. Dr. Lin is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. I took my son to see him for his astigmatism issues and while I'm a compete space cadet in anything related to eyes, Dr. Lin was able to explain things so I could even relate.
Dr. Lin has a great personality, super easy and can work with anyone. My 5 year old son who detests any doctor, medical practice - can't wait to see Dr. Lin.
In addition to working with my son, he has also helped my wife as well. He's great working with everyone and also speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese so can even handle my mother in law.

Dr. Lin is absolutely amazing. He's very attentive and thorough. Moving from California, I was searching for a well trained ophthalmologist to get my eyes checked out.
