Services
We are located just outside of Newpark Mall in Newark, California (SE of San Francisco). Said with Threads, LLC provides garment alteration, custom embroidery, and formal gown design services. We are a small company which currently provides services to our local community. However, we are planning to expand commerce to the broader US region.
Simply said, we can reshape, shorten, lengthen or repair your garment, Is the service you need not listed? How may we help you? Embroidery design is one of our specialties. If you have an embroidery need for Irish dance dresses, sports jerseys, special occasion linen, or bridal pillows, we'd love to help you.
Our alterations are competitively priced, but did you know that there are different methods to achieve the same result? Upon closer inspection, not all results are truly the same. Our master tailor will give each garment the attention it deserves, taking no short-cuts. Her extensive knowledge of fabrics and notions will ensure satisfaction.

I said "Yes to the Dress" one year before bringing it into SWT and working with Eileen. I didn't realize how much poof my dress had but Eileen was able to alter it and even create a bustle for me to be comfortable during the wedding reception. Although there was around 16 hooks and loops, she made it fun for my MOH to color coordinate them with each layer. It was such a fun experience to come in every week before the final day to see all the changes made. Eileen is such a wonderful human being and I loved chatting with her every time. Eileen is AMAZING! I honestly can go on and on about how warm and kind she is but more importantly - her energy made me so calm throughout a stressful time. Because of my sudden weight loss, Eileen worked on my wedding dress up until 10pm PT the night before. She worked so hard to make it perfect and I honestly can't thank her enough for it. I needed a dress altered and through a Yelp search I found Eileen. She is the sweetest person and I'm so glad I found her. She was nicer and much more knowledgeable than the person who did my wedding dress alterations years ago. SWT is awesome. Eileen is knowledgable and has repeatedly delivered awesome work/service.
I've had her alter several pairs of pants. From simple hemming with my jeans to making room for cyclist butt in my designer slacks, I've been thoroughly satisfied with her handiwork.
I messed up stripping an old hockey jersey with a seamripper and speared a nice sized hole (1-2") in the polyester knit. Eileen was able to close up the hole and you can't tell it used to have a huge hole in it. She even helped out with one of my favorite sweaters that popped a seam in the pocket pro bono

I had brought my wedding dress I had bought online to have Eileen help me fix them, only to discover to my dismay that the dress was wrong in all proportions and not fixable, literally 2 months before my wedding!! Eileen was so warm hearted and kind as well as sympathetic. I am so glad that I looked on Yelp for a seamstress and found Eileen! She knew exactly what to do to get the dress to fit me perfectly! She hemmed it from the waist because apparently I needed a petite sized waist. Let me tell you if I would have taken my dress to the other place I have gone, they would have hemmed the bottom and had to put buttons on the chest to keep it closed. I am SO grateful I decided to find the MOST professional person ever. She is so great and I will for sure be ONLY using her in the future. Thank you so very much!!!!!

During fittings, she can just look at you wearing the piece of clothing and know exactly what needs to be done.
