Car & Truck Pros opened in April of 2000. We have completed the move to our new location to 11840 Atwood Rd., and look forward to continued service to Auburn and surrounding areas. All our technicians are ASE certified auto technicians, with two holding ASE Master Level Certifications. Jane grew up in Auburn, after graduating from Placer High School and went into the Army as a mechanic.
After serving her country she came back to Auburn where she was hired by her future husband, Chad. They worked together for awhile knowing they wanted to open a shop of their own. Jane went back to school and got her degree in Business Management & Administration. It was shortly after graduating that an opportunity to open their own shop became a reality.

I pulled up to the bay because my tire was low and the rude lady runs out to stop me and says no my techs are busy we can't take in anymore ? I said mam I just wanted air for my tire the hose is literally 5 ft away from us , no my techs are too busy go down the road somewhere? So I had to drive off with a flat tire because 30 Seconds to fill a tire is just too out of the question? Jane was a such a professional, knowledgeable person! Made going for an oil change an easy, effortless experience. Found a problem with something totally unrelated and went above and beyond to order a small part to replace it. I'm not sure why so many people have this place a bad review. They have never made me feel like they are trying to gouge every penny out of me. In fact they have helped me, on numerous occasions, adjust plans on sustaining my vehicle by choosing what needs immediate work and what can be put off. And more often than not, the more people expensive fix is not the 1st one they say I need done. It's hard to fully trust any car repair shop but this one has my trust with my cars' care .

I took my car in for an oil change and asked about getting the brakes done as well. Because my car is a VW Jane wasn't sure they would be able to do it. Later she called and said that they could do the brakes. They ordered the parts began the work and realized they didn't have the correct tools to perform the job. After keeping my car all day with nothing to show for it but an oil change I was charged $200 for the work they performed. After paying the bill I walked away feeling like a fool. They are friendly, honest, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. Their prices are also more than fair. I have never had an issue with them and I'm honestly not sure why there are some horrible reviews. I've had to hang out there plenty of times and I've seen how they deal with other customers as well. They are always straight forward and are very helpful. They never try to upsell me either. In my experience, they are great at what they do and I'm grateful for how well they take care of my vehicles.

My so called friend, Brandon Harris, a so called "mechanic", changed my oil and didnt put the gasket on afterwards.....(smh) so my mom recommended Car and Truck Pros and i was highly impressed with the quality and the swiftness of thier work. They fixed the damage and cleaned my 300 up real nice and had me back to smooth operation within a couple of days. I highly recommend Car and Truck Pros to everyone.

I went here to get a new battery installed and Jane, at the front desk, was incredibly rude to me. I was already not having a great day after waiting 2 hours for road side service, so her disrespectful attitude and comments really felt bad. I took my business to O'Reily Auto Parts, just down the road. They were kind, very helpful and fast. I 10/10 recommended using O'Reilly over this place that was obviously inconvenienced by my business.

I'm a mechanic I was in a pinch leaving town on vacation wanted my alignment checked. They called and up sold me on straightening the steering wheel which they should not of done on my type of vehicle. I drive an old Chevy they took my steering wheel off and tried to straighten it but you can't do it that way, nearly stripped out all the screws in my custom steering wheel leaving the steering wheel on so tight that it dragged the column. Traveling from Bay Area to Reno in our old truck. Overheated late Friday afternoon, pulled into Auburn and took a room for the night..Not too many places open for car repair on Saturday, not even the Ford dealership.
However, we lucked into Car & Truck Pros,,,they were quick to say if they could get the parts required, they could get us back on the road. And quoted me a very reasonable price.
They were thorough, even showing me a part that was cracking,and would replace with no additional labor charge! What a fine bunch of car mechanics! Thank you!

First, this is the cleanest shop you will ever set your foot in. Yes the place is new, but you could literally eat off the floors. The shininess is blinding.

Had a front wheel hub replaced (d/t wheel bearing making lots of noise), brake pads replaced and rotors machined - each task had the following issues:
Front hub: while replacing the wheel hub one of the sensors (or wires to the sensor) that attach to it was broken, adding a couple hundred bucks onto my cost - seemed unfair to pass that cost along to the customer as the sensor was working fine prior to them working on it. They did however replace it free of labor cost.
Brake work: I had to ask for my rotors to be re-machined as they were squeaky / grinding when I did a quick test drive.. seems

They over charged me for work & when I picked up my truck none of my gages worked. I returned the next day to have them fix the gages, they refused to fix them & told me I should sell my truck. I have since found out that infact they did not fix the actual problem they claimed was the issue with my truck & infact it was the fuel pump that was going out & not the $1700 job they charged me for!! I would refer my worse enemy to these people!!!!

My Jeep died going up I-80 on a Saturday. AAA tow truck driver recommended this place. Met Super Woman, Jane, as we pulled into the lot. Got me checked in quick and told me she'd get someone to look at my rig ASAP as they seemed busy. I fully expected a long wait and a big bill. I fully expected a new alternator in my future. So I walked to the bar to down a couple of cold stress relievers. Before expected I got a call. Car was fixed. Loose wire. An honest mechanic is hard to find. I just found one!
