Please, call me Eddie. I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1991 where I obtained a BA in History. During college, I was a Cadet Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol. After college, my love of mountain biking and the great outdoors brought me to the mountains of western North Carolina where I began pursuing a career in the home improvement management industry.

Excellent and thorough inspection of all areas. Very helpful in sharing information for me to understand issues and info about how some things work. Eddie has always been wonderful to work with. Edgar was the most thorough home inspector! He advised us on many things that others may have found insignificant, and gave as much detail as possible when making particular points. Got the report back to us the same day as well! His services aren’t very expensive either, and he is beyond worth every dollar spent to make sure the home we are buying is suitable! Eddie is the ultimate professional. The money was well spent for the entire inspection. But when he found a short in a light switch, that paid for the entire inspection cost. That could have tragic consequences for my family or future buyers. I would use Eddie for future jobs.

Altamont inspections are straight forward, no nonsense, knows their stuff, shows up on time, does professional - thorough work, and also follows up with the customer afterward. you get great service from a certified home inspector that knows the business. dont worry or concern yourself about using this contractor. you will get your moneys worth and more! we cant say such things about many contractors we have used over the years. we were very pleasantly surprised with the work and professionalism of this company. no complaints, just a satisfied customer.

Eddie's inspection of our soon to be new home was incredibly thorough and detailed, with understandable recommendations for investigation and repair. This helped us prioritize what we want the homeowners to fix and what we can fix when we move in, in what order. We've read several home inspection reports as we looked at many homes before deciding on the one Eddie inspected. Altamont's was the most professional and detailed report we have seen, and because we were there during the inspection we know why!
