Services
TOLEDO VISION THERAPY provides comprehensive eye care with specialities in neuro-developmental, pediatric, and rehabilitation vision care.

Donna L. Baldwin-Mickey O.D. is a neuro developmental rehabilitation therapy optometrist who treats patients with vision problems related to reading, special needs, sensory processing disorders, dyslexia, crossed-eyes (strabismus), lazy eyes (amblyopia), eyestrain, near-sightedness (myopia), stroke, neurological disease and head / brain injury, such as concussions.
Our eye doctors are top specialists in the evaluation and treatment of the visual health and function of all types of special needs patients, including pediatric, geriatric, developmental delays, and nonverbal. Individuals with special needs and/or developmental delays require special testing of their eye health and visual function.
Good vision happens in a person’s brain/mind/body, not just in a set of eyeballs! Our eye doctors examine and test the entire visual system of the whole person in order to determine the very best prescription and/or the most holistic vision care solution. Our eye exam will evaluate your total visual function as well as your eye health.
Some visual conditions cannot be treated adequately with glasses, contact lenses, surgery, and/or eye patching and are best resolved through a program of Vision Therapy. Vision Therapy is an individualized, supervised, treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies.
Expert visual evaluation and treatment is critical after a head or brain trauma, because (1) vision happens in many areas of the brain and (2) many people don't realize that the physical, behavioral, and cognitive changes that occur after a stroke, TBI, post-concussion, etc. can often be due to treatable vision problems.
