We decided to name our practice Winding River because we view life as a river. A river moves forth, carving its own pathway through the world, sometimes there are opportunities, sometimes there are obstacles, sometimes you have to change direction, or sometimes things don't go according to plan. Our job is to help keep you on course by providing you with the highest quality healthcare possible.
During your first visit, we will cover a wide variety of topics related to your health, even if they may not seem relevant (trust us-they are!). This will help us to see the whole picture and understand you as an individual. Following your health history, we will give you an acupuncture treatment. We use sterile, single-use needles that are very thin.
Chinese Medicine takes a holistic approach to treatment. Treatment helps your overall health in addition to increased fertility and hormone balance. Most women will be able to conceive from our services, both naturally or with assisted reproductive technologies (ART). Our patients can receive custom herbal formulas which make our treatments more beneficial and cost-effective than acupuncture alone.

I was new to acupuncture when I began treatment about 8 months ago for a frozen shoulder, wanting to forgo the pharmaceuticals and cortisone shots recommended by my western medicine clinicians. I found the experience to be amazing. Dr.Alaric Toy took the time to listen to my concerns, worked with me to focus treatment to address those concerns and helped me understand my body from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Andrea is really good about listening to your specific issues and treating you accordingly. Since I started seeing her, I've found new flexibility in my lower back which I haven't had in decades! Andrea is wonderful! She truly cares about your well-being. She really listens and is thorough when it comes to your full health history so she can help support you. She's great with kids too! She was so gentle with my youngest and used a different technique that didn't involve acupuncture needles, which my little one loved. Their office is very clean and calming. Highly recommend their office!
