John Luther, D.D.S. has excelled both professionally and academically throughout his career. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology, he furthered his education with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 1999.
Our dental team is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable in our area. We work hard to make sure that your visit runs as smooth as possible and that you receive the utmost in care. We truly enjoy seeing a smile on your face as you leave our office. Mandi joined Timbercrest Dental Center in 2021 as our Scheduling Coordinator.
We provide thorough and personal exams, teeth cleaning, screening for disease, and valuable oral hygiene instruction. Regardless if it's been 6 months or 20 years, you will always receive a complete personable exam at our dental office in Appleton, WI. You can expect it either at your periodic 6-month teeth cleaning or through a new patient comprehensive exam.
Before bringing your child to our Appleton office for the first time, please prepare him or her for this new experience. For very young children, there are excellent children's stories that describe a visit to the dentist. Please discuss the positive aspects of dentistry with your child. Convey good feelings to your child about dental visits being a part of growing up.

I have been going to see John and his team for the last year or more now. Everything is always great. I put off dental work partially because of a fear of needles and how unpleasant it can be. Some parts are of course still not very fun but John does a great job explaining things and going at a pace you are comfortable with. He makes sure you are as comfortable as can be. I have been to other places that just pump you through and don't seem to care about their patients at all. I recommend Timbercrest anytime someone asks me about my dentist.

I live 2 hrs north but was going to be on Appleton for the week visiting. Woke up the morning I was to leave home with a swollen inflammation in my gum by one tooth. Called around to a few dentists in that area and couldn't get in. Was about the cancel my trip to stay home and go to my dentist when I googled emergency dentist and Timbercrest came up. Called and got an appointment right away. Even called me back to say there was a cancellation and I could get in earlier. Super friendly staff. I got excellent care. They treated me right away. And my trip was saved. Thank you very much!!

Best dentist I have ever been to by far. Every staff member is polite and nice making you feel welcome. Dr. Luther explains everything that's going on when working inside your mouth. New to this dentist and was really really impressed with their work. I will go out of my way to continue coming here even when i move.

I went in for a crown. This appointment was for the prep and temporary crown.
Dr. Luther showed years of practice and planning to complete all the steps required.
I was impressed with how smooth things went.
I got to say I have never seen the 3D scanner they used.
They take a 3D scan of the area where the tooth is and then they scan the teeth above.
The two 3D maps are placed on top of each other to show your bite. Just like that they can see any area that may need to be corrected. No more guess work.
New technology, you got to love it!

My experience at Timbercrest Dental Center was fantastic and long over due. The Dentist, assistants and the rest of the staff were kind, compassionate, understanding and completely thorough. Had two teeth pulled and a plan to put my mouth back in order without any pain and I haven't even tried the sedation part that I was interested in. That is a testament to how good these people are.
If you are anything like me, avoiding dentists at nearly all costs... just stop that and try Timbercrest; you will smile again. If I had more than two thumbs, all of them would be up for the service and care I received

I've been a Timbercrest patient from the beginning and I have been very happy! Dr. Luther explains things very well and gives me and my family a high level of confidence. The staff are all great folks, and although I don't really like having to go to the dentist, they all make it a very pleasant experience. This is the best dental practice in the Valley, without a doubt!
