We specialize in repairing and maintaining Domestic & Asian cars, light & medium trucks & Hybrids. In 2020 Doug & Margee Hatton, the founders of Center City, retired. A Group of mostly local guys led by Ron Lautzenheiser bought Center City. Ron- Bruce Jewett, James Williams (owners of Davisville Express Lube) -Miguel Leon (Manager of Davisville)-Jim Wohlgemuth (long time sidekick of Doug) all teamed up to take Center City into the future.

I was ready to pay WHATEVER for them to confirm what I already knew- because They listened to me and explained to me what they could do and I was ok with that. I had contact with 3 different individuals here and they were all respectful and informative. I was spoken to like a fellow human being. No one screamed at me or spoke down to me. I only waited 30 mins and paid an incredibly small fee for their services. It was a full on pleasant experience, even though my car is not fixed yet- due to logistics and parts availability. If they are able to fix it soon, I will gladly make the trip to have it

This will be my new shop for oil changes, tires, vehicle maintenance, etc. I picked up a big bolt in the ace rock yard on a Saturday afternoon/Holiday weekend.... After calling around I realized everything was closed except this place that at the time was only open for another 10 minutes... The guy on the phone told me no problem and to bring it over. They worked 25 minutes past closing time to get my tire fixed. Just having a business go above and beyond when they didn't have to says enough about them for me. 10/10 Highly recommend.

Very disappointed that I have to change my review. Three bad experiences and won't be back. First one was brakes. I live way east of Davis and go in yearly for tune up, tire rotation, etc. I was told my brakes were fine but on the way home on the freeway they started making a noise. I called them the next day but by that time they were ruined so I had to take them someplace really close and it wound up costing me a fortune. The next problem was the tires. They were serviced but again on the way home trouble started. The light came on and by the time I could find a tire shop in my community

Having been around cars all my life, I know a thing or two about cars and how they run, and I have been to a lot of different mechanic shops over the years. Out of all of them, I always come back to Center City, no matter how far away!! When I was stuck in the Bay Area with a dead Honda, the only place I would take the old girl was Center City!! I love that these guys do an excellent job, and are old-school mechanics that don't take you for a ride. Their prices are always fair, Doug and Jim are unbelievably knowledgeable, and the work of this shop is impeccable!! I also cannot rave enough

This review is FARRRR overdue! Our family have been customers for over two years and after our last exchange with these awesome mechanics we know we will be loyal customers for life.
The Center City staff are genuinely honest people, no BS, no scamming, just honest hard working mechanics who want the best for their customers. Every time I have had an issue I was able to get in quickly, was contacted and kept up to date on everything, issues were described clearly and options were outlined, the mechanics went above and beyond each time and proved themselves to be understanding and caring people

Got my routine oil change this morning. Waited for it & they were prompt as usual. If your looking for a solid shop, that won't BS you, this is the one. This is your classic old school shop, they won't BS or up-sell you. In today's society, having a shop like this is like a jewel. You can bring all your vehicles here & they know how to work on them. Honest and trustworthy mechanics. Throughout the repair process, they were very upfront about costs and labor. They even replaced a related part for no additional labor cost (since it was in a similar area of the car). The price was about average compared to the other mechanics I called in the area. They also gave me a ride to work! Would definitely recommend.
