Our historic Farmhouse was originally built in 1943. Once built as a small one bedroom with a tiny bathroom, kitchen and small attic, these beginnings are a far cry from what it is today. The charming, beautifully renovated 70-year-old Vineyard House, complete with private courtyard, sits atop a gentle slope overlooking six private acres of rolling vineyards, apple orchard, pastures, and perennial gardens.
The Hospitality Barn is an exceptional work of craftsmanship, preservation, and restoration. This historic dairy barn structure was built by well-known Islander, Felix Gabelein, in 1943. It is stick-framed with traditional drop siding and a magnificent open ceiling showcasing the rafters and reclaimed and reused wood from the barn's old walls.
Our charming and eye-catching Tasting Room can easily host parties and dinners up to 25 people. Step up to the locally created, hand hewn redwood bar to savor any of our wines. Or sip beneath the artisan oyster chandelier - whatever suits today's mood!. Like the adjacent Tasting Room, it was created using the best local materials and craftsmanship.
Dancing Fish Vineyards is the perfect place for your wedding, private event or special occasion! Our beautiful facilities are open year round (featuring custom heating) to accommodate any schedule. Our guests often reserve our Vineyard House in the days preceding and throughout their event, making their stay even more convenient and enjoyable - it's perfect for your VIP's, guest speakers, presenting artists, chefs and out of town guests!.
We are in Phase 3 of Healthy Washington - Roadmap to Recovery and are now able to have increased guest numbers in our barn. Friday events will be by reservation only and your entrance fee includes appetizer selections served directly to your table. Wine is available by the glass or bottle for your enjoyment.

To call it a "wine store" is to miss the whole atmosphere of the place. It is a winery with various buildings, fields, vineyard and gardens.
Events are regularly held in the main hall, often featuring local musicians. For these, there is limited seating, so check the web site.
But there are also nice areas for casual wine tasting about the grounds, so just drop in on a warm afternoon with friends.

I'm a big California wine fan and don't have a lot of experience with Washington wines. You have to come here if you are visiting Whidbey island. Had a tasting from a great staff member and was blown away by the quality of the wine. Left with four bottles. My wife's cousin from California tried the wine as well and loved it

Shoutout to Linda for making our experience here fun! She really went in depth about each wine which was really nice. The grounds are beautiful and if you buy a bottle you can go to the farther end of the property and hang out but if you want to do the tasting you can sit out in the patio area. Wines tasted really good compared to some of the other winery’s we went to. The rosè is very light and fresh and a perfect start to the tasting!

We stopped by Dancing Fish on a Monday afternoon in late October and were met by Linda, who was a wonderful host! We sat outside with our dog and she immediately offered to turn the fire pit on for us and got our dog a fresh bowl of water. The vineyard was beautiful, the wine was fantastic but the service was incredible. Linda is great and we loved our time at Dancing Fish.
