Eleven Winery
Anyone who tells you that wine tasting is serious business or makes you feel bad about your level of wine knowledge is just plain missing the point - and we'll be more than happy to straighten them out for you. We'll also be happy to answer all of your questions about wine so that you can hold your own in party conversation with the snobbiest wine geek.

We don't believe in dumbing down our wines for novice tasters - we believe that everyone can enjoy great wine and that the better the wine, the more fun you'll have. Our production highlights somewhat offbeat varieties - Mourvedre, Lemberger, Chenin Blanc, Roussanne - as well as more well-known favorites (Syrah, Pinot Grigio.).

Our founder and winemaker, Matt Albee, having hung up his racing bike after chasing the dream of professional suffering on two wheels around the globe, started looking around for what to do next.

Having left graduate school in physics years earlier to pursue bicycle racing while his legs were still young, he considered going back to school, but the slow pace of scientific research is enough to lull just about anyone to sleep, which is what it did to him one morning as he dozed over a neuropsychology text in the Fall of 1999.
We have two tasting locations on Bainbridge Island: our Winslow Way tasting room located an easy 10-minute walk from the ferry, and our winery location on Day Road. At both locations we offer a range of tasting flights and glass pours (check out a recent menu here), and food is available for purchase to go with.
Grab a glass of wine and join Salish Sea Greens as they shuck some of the finest oysters the Puget Sound has to offer. Their oyster bar is complete with all the fixings including (kelp mignonette, lemon and tabasco). Songbird plays a very eclectic selection of folk, alt-folk, pop, country and some good ol' rock and roll with a smattering of blues just for good measure!
We all know that there are many venues in our area that host events, so what makes an event at Eleven different? Three words: Great Wine Fun! Weddings, anniversaries, or divorce parties; business functions or dance parties; dinner and wine pairings or brunch with bubbly, we have the perfect space for any event you can dream up.
Our mission: make great wine, make it fun, and make the world a better place. You can help make all of these things happen by becoming a member of our wine club (yes, you can even help make the wine). There is no cost to join; it's just a one-year commitment to receive quarterly shipments of our best wines, substantially discounted from the retail price.

We loved our experience at Eleven! It's a fairly small tasting room but that makes the experience more intimate and personalized.

We had the most splendiferous time at Eleven winery. Ryan, our Happiness Engineer, was most most knowledgeable and friendly on our journey of wine and felicitude.
Ryan seamlessly directed our voyage of Mourvvedre and Ratio:Blancos ; however, all wines were an Odyssey of flavor and experience.
Would journey back, without question.
10/10.

I have it two stars, so I have to explain. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the venue is very pleasant, and there might be live music... But for me it's all about the wine, and the wine was not to my liking. It was fine, but lacked the complexity and character that I'm looking for. However, if you want a lovely place to have a bottle and hang with friends, it's great.

I had a lovely afternoon tasting on my day trip to Bainbridge Island. Kyle was knowledgeable about the wines, and the price for a five-wine tasting was very reasonable. The Chenin Blanc was delicious, as were the rosé and several reds. And, yes, I am shipping some home!

The Eleven Winery appeared to be one of the most popular wineries on the island when I stopped by this past weekend on my wine tasting tour of Bainbridge Island. There was a saxophone player in the main room, setting a more upbeat atmosphere as compared to the previous wineries on the island. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, despite the large crowds.
The venue also had a larger selection of wines as compared to the other wineries on the Island, however, none of the wines really stood out as being "extraordinary." Despite this, I will still highly recommend checking this venue

We wanted to do some wine tasting while we were at Bainbridge Island, and this spot came up during my search. The counter seats we all taken, but luckily for us, one couple was just leaving and offered us their seats. A female staff came over and explained their tasting briefly. The tasting was very affordable, and we were excited to try their wines.
While we were waiting for her come back to put in the order for 5 wines, few more people left, and more people came in and sat next to us. The staff explained everything to them before she came back to us. So, most of us were getting the wines at

Delicious wines, friendly service, lively atmosphere, and definitely worth a visit!
The space looks small from the outside, but there's extra seating towards the back, you just can't see it from the window.
