NHCamps began as the New Hampshire Camp Directors Association (NHCDA) when it adopted Articles of Organization in 1941, subsequently incorporating in 1971. NHCamps is a statewide organization of camp professionals. Over the years, the scope of the organization has grown from the sharing of information among members to lobbying the state legislature.
NHCamps, the New Hampshire Camp Directors' Association, is a membership organization for directors, former directors, and other camp professionals at New Hampshire's licensed summer youth recreation camps. Business membership is available to businesses who serve the New Hampshire camp industry.
For its members, NHCamps provides professional development, networking opportunities, and timely communication on state issues affecting organized camping.NHCamps also works closely with state agencies to ensure positive camp experiences and retains a lobbyist who monitors state legislative issues that affect New Hampshire camps.
