Camp Birch Hill is nestled on 106 scenic acres in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, and has been family owned and operated for over two decades under the direction of Rich Morell and his family. Each summer, Camp Birch Hill is home to Boys and Girls from all over the world, ages 6 to 16.
With a focus on fun, our elective program lets campers choose from over 50 activities to create their own personalized schedule, while constantly being given the encouragement and option to try new activities.

Our camp activities are created and facilitated in a way that encourages campers to develop skills and explore new interests in a safe and fun environment. Campers can choose their own basic program by electing from 50 daily activities. Our elective program empowers campers to try a multitude of activities throughout their stay and to customize their schedule to suit their individual interests and aspirations.
The staff at Camp Birch Hill are a colorful group of individuals carefully selected based on experience, merit and qualification. Our staff is primarily college students, graduates, faculty and former Birch Hill campers. Together we are a diverse group of mature, dignified role models coming from both the United States and abroad.
Birch Hill has an inclusive payment policy. The enrollment fee includes: tuition, laundry service, all activities including: horseback riding and water skiing, a camp t-shirt and camp trips. Referral Discount - $200 off total balance. Refer a friend that is new to Birch Hill and we will apply a $200 credit to your account for each two week session they enroll in.
Travel Birch Hill campers and staff travel from near and far to spend their summers at Birch Hill. While a large percentage of our campers are from the East Coast, many travel from across the United States. We welcome many international campers and staff from Spain, France, Italy & beyond creating a dynamic family each summer.

I have been going to birch hill for a few years know and without a doubt it has been one of the best experiences of my life. The incredible memories and strong friendships I have created at this “home away from home” are truly priceless. From the food to the counselors, everything is amazing. This year will be my last year and I’m dreading having to leave camp for the last time. Anyone seeking a fun-filled escape from life should come to this summer camp. I am extremely grateful for this camp and will treasure all the memories I made there forever.

When I sent my 10 year old son to camp Birch Hill, I was hoping he would feel comfortable enough there to call it his second home. Well, that is what Camp Birch hill has become for Tucker. Over the past few years, he has found friends there, enjoyed their sports and had lots of laughs in a place where kids are encouraged to be themselves and appreciate each other for everything they bring to the table. After researching every sleep away camp in New England online, we decided on Camp Birch Hill for our 11-year old son. We made our choice based on the activities, the goal of having silly fun, and the testimonials. The camp provided so much more than we expected. The diversity of activities allowed him to break out of his comfort zone and try new things. The cabin set up created an instant comradery that made it easier for the kids that were attending by themselves. I attended Camp Birch Hill for 3 summers, which I often regard as the best summers of my life. I met so many wonderful people here who I remain in touch with constantly even though the live very far away. The counselors here are also amazing, kind, loving, and the warmth they spread throughout the entire camp community is entirely unmatched by anyone else. The campers, counselors, directors, and owners all work together to help make Camp Birch Hill the most enjoyable and amazing camp out there.

We were referred to Camp Birch Hill by some friends who sent their daughters there for many years. Now we see why this camp attracts families year after year. This was a once in a lifetime camping experience for my stepdaugter! She LOVED attending Birch Hill. There were a load of activities for her interest. As a first time camper not knowing anyone, they helped her transition to the camp with ease. She left with lifelong friends! She returned home with a new confidence and maturity that we had not seen before.

My 9-year old absolutely adores Camp Birch Hill and as a parent, so do I! The friendships and experiences are the best he's ever had. Summer has never been so good! He has attended for the last two years and can't wait for his 7-year old brother to join him this year! The counselors are so wonderful and supportive. The activities are diverse and amazing! The grounds are super clean and easy to navigate! As a parent, I loved the organization of daily activities. This way I know he's consistently supported and safe. I highly recommend this amazing camp and my boys look forward to becoming a camp

My 8 year old son, Tucker Whitman, attended Camp Birch Hill camp this summer and I want to share what an incredible experience he had there. His first words to me, when I saw him, were that this camp was EPIC-AWESOME. I was a little concerned, having him go to away to camp since he is an only child and had never been away from us for any length of time. However, Camp Burch Hill quickly made him feel like he was part of their large family (thanks to the talented counselors and staff that created a special atmosphere of belonging to him).

If you are in the market for a premier camping experience for your son(s)/daughter(s) you will find it in Camp Birch Hill! One summer we found Camp Birch Hill and now my son’s entire year is spent counting the days from one summer ending until the next year’s summer session starts. It doesn’t just have all the amazing activities, field trips, etc., it’s a haven for kid’s to hang out, be themselves & make friendships that will last them forever all over the world.

Our best friends were married here this past weekend! What a terrific spot to say I do with all your loved ones. The camp was beautiful with so much to do. The cabins are quaint, waterfront is stellar and outdoor activities are endless. The owners Mike & Chrissy were remarkable. Very accommodating and gracious to the bride & groom, family & friends. We were very lucky to spend the weekend at Camp Birch Hill! It made me want to be a camper again!

I had the pleasure of working at this summer camp for nearly a decade. As a certified educator working in the public schools I can attest that Camp Birch Hill is an excellent opportunity for students to increase their social skills, learn how to collaborate, and most importantly, have FUN! So much emphasis and pressure has been placed on students today. To get into college it seems like you need to be taking ten AP classes and be part of 15 after-school activities.
