If I could give less stars, I would. I was a patient through them during my pregnancy and post partum period.
Here are my complaints: I told my midwife that I was struggling with PPD/PPA, and that my body wasn't acting normal after this pregnancy. I have been Post Partum once before. She told me that is just part of being a woman and offered no referrals or help regarding my PPA/PPD. This is dangerous when a provider does this. PPA/PPD are very serious and can be life threatening.
Secondly, I asked them to prescribe Plan B (I recently got off of other birth control options because of how badly

I had very concerning experiences with two doctors in this practice. One prescribed a hormone that would have been dangerous for me to take. The other violated my rights as a patient to make my own health care decisions. Both have warranted formal complaints with Lexington Medical Center. Consider a different practice.

The nurses and receptionists are always very kind but it seems the doctors are hit or miss. I’ve heard great things about some and terrible things about others. I might just go to Planned Parenthood for birth control from now on since they seem more efficient. This office is run like a stereotypical American medical care facility where you’re gonna be waiting for notoriously long periods of time to be seen for notoriously short periods of time. If you’re in a bind or have half a day to sit in a waiting room, it’s acceptable.

The two providers I have seen at this clinic were just fine. But the systems and patient care structure is absurd! They will not let me switch providers if I have "established care" with a different provider. I have seen two different providers one time each, how does that count as established care? I find this especially silly because when you are in the system for maternal care, they make sure you meet all the providers and work with each one because you do not know who you will work with when it comes time to deliver. The manager was attempting to be helpful and told me that she is going to

Friendliest staff! I transferred here toward the end of my pregnancy. All of the midwives are wonderful! They always took the time to listen and answer all of my questions. Very informative. Never had to wait more than 20 mins for appt. Labor and delivery was better than expected. Debbie along with the nurses helped make it a wonderful stress-free experience. All of the midwives came to visit me and the baby after delivery. I will definitely continue to go here in the future and recommend them to everyone.

I was a patient here for 2 pregnancies. My first pregnancies resulted in a D&C. Although I would sit there waiting for 30-45 min after my scheduled appointment time to be seen, the doctor as well as the nurses taking me back and forth showed a lot of concern and care. I decided to go back to them for my second pregnancy & thought I can deal with the wait times. However, I truly got to experience the true side of this office. I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage from the ER and was seen in the office the next day by an oncall doctor. She gave me no information besides explaining what it

I switched to Lexington's midwives in my third trimester (was not happy with the care I was receiving in Sumter). It was NIGHT AND DAY with how they took care of me. Everyone was nice and professional, patient and attentive with answering any of my questions, and when I delivered, I was there from 6am-9pm and saw two different shifts of nurses on the delivery floor, and not one was unpleasant or neglectful. Their doula was also so sweat and fantastic company! I didn't know having a baby could be so pleasant, thanks to the amazing care they took of me and our baby. Beyond happy with the decision

I love the midwives at the practice especially Darci! I saw them my whole pregnancy. Never had to wait for an extended period of time at my appointments. The only issue I have is with their phone system. It’s rare to get an actual person when calling, you have to wait for them to call you back which is usual the same day a few hours later. I never had any complications or concerns in my pregnancy but I felt uneasy because if I did I would have to wait around for them to return my call concerning it. But all the nurses and midwives that I’ve come in contact with were attentive and pleasant.

I love all of the midwives. Darci Putnam is wonderful and very hands on with patients and cares to get to know the patients and develops relationships. Donna Andrews delivered my baby and I couldn't ask for a better experience she walked me through it all and was very caring and even checked on me before she left me the next day. As far as the front desk goes nobody EVER answers the phone sometimes you can leave a message and sometimes they want you to sit on hold for a year. I still haven't received a phone call back from the billing department since I first called them in the beginning of my

Been a patient for 3 years and absolutely love my Mid-wife (I followed her from another practice). The staff is friendly and I have never had a problem with wait times or testing. I generally see nurse/midwife Tonya Bridges (I've been her patient for 12 years). She is absolutely awesome and takes the time to answer any kind of questions you may have. I have seen other midwives as well and have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend this practice.
