At Pilates by Vanessa, my goal is to help you discover what Pilates can do for you. It doesn't matter if you are young, older, pregnant, super-fit, or rehabilitating from injuries, Pilates can change your body shape and lifestyle by improving your strength, flexibility, alignment and posture. I offer personal and duet Pilates training in a serene, non-intimidating environment at my fully-equipped home studio in Austin, Texas.
At our first meeting, I will assess your physical abilities along with your goals. Armed with that information, I will create a program tailored specifically to you and your special needs. Then, together, we will get started on accomplishing your exercise objectives, moving you towards feeling more energized and revitalized.

Our interpretation of physical fitness is the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily, and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure.
Why do Pilates? The Pilates method of exercise is designed to reshape your body, making it longer, leaner, and stronger. The various types of unique equipment designed for Pilates enable you to develop muscle strength and endurance through resistance training in supported positions, avoiding excessive strain to the muscles.
Regardless of your background, beginner or more experienced, Vanessa creates a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere for the best possible workout! You will not find a more educated and passionate Pilates instructor who will challenge you. I have suffered from years of back pain, and after my sessions with Vanessa, I feel uplifted and stronger.

I've been doing pilates with Vanessa now for about six months and I can say I feel and see a big difference. Vanessa's home studio is very well equipped and comfortable. And I can't speak highly enough of Vanessa's warmth and knowledge of the best training techniques.

Vanessa is absolutely incredible! As others have said in their reviews, she is inspiring, personable, fit and a great instructor. I was new to Pilates when I started working with her 3 years ago and am now completely hooked on it and what it does for me. She checks in with me each time I come in for a session to see how my body is feeling. If I'm feeling tight and in pain, we do Gyrotonics which is awesome for opening up your body and bringing back flexibility. If I'm feeling good and strong, she gives me an amazing Pilates work out. She changes things up so that I work out different

Vanessa is so inspiring, personable, fit, and really knows her stuff. Her home studio is so comfortable and peaceful and she has fantastic equipment. I did private lessons at her home for about 6 months and saw amazing results from just a few weeks of instruction - leaner, longer muscles, better posture and less back pain, and she helped me build strength in my core after having 2 children.
In addition to being an awesome instructor, she's just a really cool person and I always look forward to our sessions just to hang out with her. :)
