Classical Ballet Academy's mission is to provide the highest quality classical ballet training in Colorado based on the Vaganova Method which supports the development of strong classical technique, exquisite artistry, musicality, and purity of line. With a highly qualified faculty trained in the Vaganova curriculum, CBA trains well rounded dancers with instruction in classical technique, pointe, pas de deux, character, and contemporary dance.
Founded on the vision of Artistic Director Elizabeth Shipiatsky, CBA addresses the full spectrum of development from beginners to early-career professionals. In addition, our sister performance company, Ballet Melange, provides various opportunities for students to perform on stage throughout the year, and serves as a nurturing place for the young dancers to launch their professional career.

Services
CBA's Adult Program is designed for adult dancers who want to get a great workout while also learning the principles of classical ballet. We offer a weekly Stretch and Strength class and a traditional ballet class. For those wanting an extra challenge you can join the Saturday morning class with advanced Academy students and Ballet Melange trainees.
Don't let your strength and endurance gains from Summer Intensives wane! CBA will offer Summer Interim classes from mid July - mid August. Participating dancers will start their season prepared for fall level placement assessments and Nutcracker auditions. Flexible enrollment by the day, week, or entire 4 week session is available.
It was amazing to be back on stage! Three shows of the classica ballet, Le Corsaire, plus a mixed bill show of Mosicas including ballet, contemporary and character showed the amazing dedication and work of our dancers. Former CBA student, Ballet Melange trainee, and Vaganova Ballet Academy graduate Katherine Grace-Shamburek has joined the National Ballet of Ukraine.
No skirts or warm ups during class. Hair in a neat and secure bun. Gentlemen: Black tights, white t-shirt, black or white canvas, black split-sole ballet slippers. Ballet Skirts are allowed, but plan to be flexible should a teacher prefer you remove it during class. Black bullet pointe style pull-on skirts are not required for classes, but you will need one for exams, class demonstrations and some performance opportunities.
