Services
Our director, Gabrielle Palmatier Marshall, has had great success as a performer, choreographer/director, and as a teacher of ballet. We are conveniently located just off Evergreen Parkway, about halfway between downtown Evergreen and the Bergen Park area (just north of Safeway). Students and parents are given regular feedback on their progress.
Live performance is at the very heart of the art of ballet. While dancers derive many physical, emotional, and social benefits from their classes, their instruction needs to culminate in live performance. When dancers give their very best in a performance it builds confidence and exposes them to the incredible sensation of having created something of beauty and sharing it with others.
What: The 7 Stars of Flexibility are positions that when mastered will aid in the dancer's ability and confidence. When: Normally, evaluations will be done monthly. There may be adjustments depending on the public school schedule, if there have been weather cancellations, or if we have a performance scheduled.
The free New Student Lesson is important so we can help prepare the dancer for their first class. Part of this is having the right attire and shoes. As a mother of three, I know how those expenses can add up so we will assist you to get quality attire as inexpensively as possible. Many vendors carry these or similar items.

Ms. Gabe and her fellow instructors are amazing! ESB has done so much for my son. He has not only grown in strength and agility, but I am happy to see his self-confidence grow as well. The kids in her classes are good friends, because Ms. Gabe encourages the kids to have fun and bond. I appreciate that she has high expectations in a supportive and loving way.

Miss Gabe is an excellent instructor! She has an amazing talent for getting the best out of her students in a way that pushes them to grow and strive for more yet supports and encourages them at the same time. My kids love the classes, the recitals, and the instruction. I would, highly, recommend ESB and Miss Gabe for anyone interested in learning ballet.

My children are new ballet students, and we are absolutely delighted with Ms. Gabe's instruction and the school. Class sizes are small (around 6 students per class), and Ms. Gabe strikes an amazing balance between expecting a lot of my kids while still making ballet fun and accessible. My kids come away challenged and happy, and we feel confident that they are building real skills. The school is also very aware of keeping ballet affordable by offering sibling discounts and costume rentals instead of expensive costume purchases for the twice yearly performances.
