South Orange County Animal Hospital is a full-service hospital providing medical, surgical and dental care for your four-legged family members. We are locally owned and operated and are excited to be a part of this community. Our clinic is dedicated to providing high quality service, educating clients on how best to care for their loved ones, and working with local rescues to help homeless animals find families of their own.
Our modern and fully equipped hospital allows us to provide high quality veterinary care to keep our patients healthy and happy. The hospital features remodeled examination rooms, a full pharmacy, an in-house laboratory, a large central treatment area, a modern surgical suite, digital radiography (x-rays), ultrasound, and digital medical records for easy access.
Dr. Kim and Dr. Tani strongly feel that local rescues and shelters are one of the best ways to prevent animal cruelty and unnecessary euthanasia of healthy animals. These local organizations have entrusted and partnered with our hospital to help heal injured and helpless animals. Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California is committed to saving homeless hounds and finding them a loving family.
Dr. Tani is the vet of your dreams. She clearly loves animals and will spend time interacting with your pet. She also asks you questions and listens to your answers to come up with proactive solutions for whatever the problem might be. This is the way veterinary care is supposed to be. You won't be dreading the vet visit as a financial nightmare either.
Emergencies are already stressful on you and your pet. At South Orange County Animal Hospital, our veterinarians will work with you to find the solution that best serves you and your pets. South Orange County Animal Hospital is fully equipped to handle emergency situations. From severe allergic reactions due to bee stings, gastrointestinal distress, vomiting, collapse, or even seizures, your pet will be assessed immediately by a veterinarian.

This practice has the best vets in Orange County. They are phenomenal with their dedication to helping patients and I love that they’re clear and concise when explaining any procedure that has to be done. The prices are great and their vet tech staff as well as the front desk staff are compassionate and so efficient. I cannot recommend them enough. They are great!

I could not write a higher review. Dr Kim is the vet we have been using for our dog this year based on a referral we were given. Dr Kim is an amazing veterinarian and an equally amazing communicator. Every time he sees our dog, he gives us all of our options and is very transparent about the rational behind each option. We brought our dog in with a life threatening condition and he was treated Immediately, and the staff were checking on us giving constant updates along every step. They even call over the next few days to keep tabs on our dogs progress. Overall this facility runs very smooth and

I came across this hospital when my cat experienced a foot injury on a Sunday and the regular vet was closed. They made room in their schedule to see her and were very kind. That’s why we went back a month later when my cat had weird symptoms and was diagnosed by cardiomyopathy. Dr. Kim got her on a medication regimen that’s been working well and sees her every few months for followup. The pricing is affordable and I cannot say enough about how EVERYONE at this practice is genuinely nice. So happy!

The staff was very helpful. My dog had surgery and was acting very agitated after a few days. The person that answered the phone listened to me and checked with the doctors to see what could be done. I was given an appointment for the next morning. Dr. Kim was amazing and really listened to my concerns and was able to determine that my dog was having a reaction to the mix of medications that he was taking for pain. The next day, my dog was back to himself. I am always appreciative of how great the staff and doctors are when we come in for visits.

All the staff at South Orange County Animal Hospital are so friendly and knowledgeable! They have very safe COVID protocols while still delivering the service that I have grown to expect from them. I absolutely love our vet! Most of my experience has been with Dr. Tani and she is just an absolute gem. So kind, so bubbly, and she cares so much for each and every pet.

Over the past several years, I've been to this practice with multiple foster kitties. I was impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the doctors and staff. The office and exam rooms are very clean and comfortable. I also thought it was very cool that they worked with local rescues.
It was because of my positive experience with my fosters that I wanted to switch to South County. However, when it came time for me to book an appointment for my slightly sick kitty, they pushed me off for an appointment 9 days in the future, even though my kitty had been seen by them as a rescue in the past

There are not enough words in the English language to adequately explain how wonderful this practice is. Dr. Tani and Dr. DeAtley have tended to our fur babies for years now and we simply would not trust anyone else with their care. Being a first-time dog mom, they are very patient and warm with me and help me learn how I can give my boys the… best, longest life possible. We were with another local vet for 10 years and thought we were getting the best prices and care. After a pretty unfair interaction, I felt it time to find another place for my furry family....and found South OC Animal Hospital. I regret spending 10 years somewhere else and wish I found them sooner. We have only used Dr. Tani and have been so… incredibly impressed with her compassion, care, confidence and cost saving measures for our family. The front office is on point, the care is top notch and the prices are beyond reasonable. We are moving in 3 years to Idaho and I am so sad to leave
