So you're shopping for a therapist. Considering professional help is a big step. Let's make this an experience you can be proud of. Imagine for a moment feeling open and confident about your choice to work with a therapist. It's important for you to be proud of the growth you make. Having said that, your privacy is key as well.
Have you heard people jokingly say things like "that guy needs a shrink, " "she needs therapy, " or "that kid needs to be in counseling?" Unfortunately, as a society we shame those who need or are utilizing professional resources. To some degree or another, the general public is aware of the unfortunate stigma surrounding "being in counseling".

Services
Our first session will give you an opportunity to share your story and identify options to best meet your needs. More time together relieves some of the pressure to "get it all out" in one session. Feeling less rushed greatly helps my clients settle in and allow the experience to be more cathartic and healing.
Please remember to cancel or reschedule 24-hours prior to your scheduled appointment. You may be responsible for my full fee of $125 if cancellation is less than 24 hours (at a minimum a non-negotiable $60 fee). This late cancelation and/or missed appointment fee will be automatically charged to the payment method you add to your client profile.
I have worked in a professional capacity with Dustin. He is knowledgable and personable. You can tell he genuinely cares and enjoys his work. He is committed to ongoing education and training and keeping his clinical skills sharp. I would highly recommend him for couples counseling. I am extremely happy as a client of Dustin's!
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you've been seeking. Individual therapy differs from group or relational therapy methods because you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.
If you've been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels insurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life.
If you've been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels insurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life.
All things can be improved with just a little support, no matter how big or small. With couples therapy, you'll learn to recognize the common enemy is the negative patterns of interaction rather than blame one another, create new secure functioning, and enjoy an easier and more relaxed companionship.

I started working with Dustin a year ago when I got a divorce. It was my first time working with a therapist, but it did not take long to click with him. He has provided me with multiple resources, such as books, movies, and podcasts. In my opinion, the best session is when we go for a therapeutic walk. Nobody else does that, and I have never heard of it.

Dustin is such a pro. I had one previous therapist experience and it wasn't very positive; since then I have been very guarded and skeptical of therapy until I started with Dustin. A major shock in my life and an accumulation of things I wanted to sort out brought me to Dustin and he hasn't disappointed. He is is easy to open up to and communicate with in a manner that is both casual and professional. He never pushes to the point that makes you uncomfortable, but still he guides you through the tough topics and offers amazing perspective. I have been with him for about six months and I am genuinely

In my experience, Dustin has all the qualities you would look for and want in a therapist. He is genuinely kind, caring, and compassionate (just to name a few) and is someone who, within a very short time, you feel safe sharing vulnerable and personal information with. He also has a wonderful ability to read the “temperature” of his client, allowing him to guide and navigate sessions at a pace that is both conducive and beneficial for growth and self-exploration, while at the same time, being in tune to the clients’ individual needs, always allowing space for pause and/or redirection when

Dustin is a caring, kind, and empathetic human who also happens to be a great therapist. He has allowed me to think outside the box and seek answers in various outside resources. He has a way of starting conversations that lead to ways that I can work through my own healing processes, as well as just listening in a comfortable, safe, non-judgmental environment. I like the way that he relates real-world scenarios to problems and solutions. The work you do for others is invaluable. Thank you!

Dustin is an absolutely amazing therapist. He gives true input, even when it may not be what you want to hear, it's what you need to hear. He has allowed me to borrow multiple books from his collection to try to improve the way I handle things outside of our appointments, and he has given me strategies to work on that have improved my mental health. I would recommend him to anyone, great therapist and an even greater man.

Dustin Hodgkin was one of our guest presenters at a mental health conference for a group of 150 youth. He did a fantastic job at connecting with the youth, aged 13 - 18, and keeping them interested and engaged. Dustin really knows how to reach teenagers and help them see things from a different perspective. He is full of energy and life and is able to transfer that to those he works with. We received great feedback from all those who attended his session. I am very grateful to have gotten the chance to work with Dustin.

I’ve worked with Dustin for a few months now and he creates a space where i can be open and feel free to express what I want. He genuinely cares about me and constantly brings up sources that I can seek out outside of our sessions to continue the process even outside of the time with him. He often lets me choose where we have our sessions, at a park or going for a walk which for me helps me feel at ease, this to me shows that he wants to make it personal for me and doesn’t just mainstream our time together.

Dustin was really great when he came to talk to the youth in our area about suicide after 2 high school kids and one teacher took their life the previous summer. He connected with the kids so well and was able to draw out answers and experiences from them by the way he openly discussed things and helped them feel validated.
Dustin is so easy to talk to and genuinely interested in the wellbeing of others. I highly recommend him.

Dustin held a conference for a group of youth who had recently experience two people in their community who committed suicide. Dustin was personable and calming while teaching and listening to the youth's concerns and questions. I was impressed with his sensitivity and ability to reach these youth in such a short amount of time. taught about how to see signs of depression, suicide, and what the youth can do to help themselves and where to turn for help. He taught in a clear way and gave the youth tools to take away. Dustin has a lot of knowledge and natural talent to help people heal.
