The Lakeland Center's Brain Injury unit has been developed to meet the needs of individuals who have suffered mild-to-moderate brain injuries and strokes. Our treatment program provides the structured, stable environment needed for brain injury recovery.

Maximizing individual outcomes and capabilities in a caring and compassionate setting is at the heart of our goal oriented program. The Lakeland Center is committed to providing the highest quality respiratory and ventilator services for our patients who require specialized and advanced pulmonary care.
The Nursing Department at the Lakeland Center, a subacute rehabilitation facility in Southfield, has 8 and 12 hour shift openings for nurses with acute care experience in Med-surg, ICU, or Rehab. Competitive wages plus medical/dental/optical benefits for those working just 30 hours per week. The Lakeland Center has openings for Competency-Evaluated Nursing Assistants (CENAs) with LTC and acute care experience in Med-surg, ICU, or Rehab.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT put your loved one is this horrible facility!!! These people are horrible they did not take care of my mother. They ignored her call button, didn’t change her regularly she caught a horrible rash on her bottoms. They let her sleep in her clothes, and the worse was forgetting to feed her dinner..They are full of excuses and no solutions. I constantly had to report the staff. I was totally misled about this place. My mother was neglected and mistreated !!!! Stay away from this place

The lack of carring they treated my father as a number shipped him to the hospital less then 24 hours before he was supposed to come home was at the hospital for a few short hours then they sent him home on a Sunday we qhere unable to contact any one they failed to have a nurse meet with my mom to explain how to take care of someone in a coma 24hours after coming home we lost my father he had no meds nothing they could have cared less nothing they said they had done was done and when they called me to tell me they where sending him to the hospital wouldn't even be clear which hospital just kept

I am a Registered Nurse that has recently returned as a staff member to The Lakeland Center (if that doesn't say enough). In the short time that I have been back to the facility I have seen countless cases where patients have made a recovery that I would have never foreseen! The therapy department is Outstanding giving full attention to meet goals; Respiratory therapist are on site 24/7, and Nursing has some of the best patient to nurse ratio's I have seen in this region! I am very happy to be apart of the team and look forward to being apart of the recovery of our patients and any future patients

I have worked at the Lakeland Center since 2004, I have learned a lot here at this facility, and have meet some wonderful people. I have had family members that came here for PT/OT and they enjoyed their stay here. We are not perfect, but we do the best we can, and we provide excellent patient care.

I was recently faced with having to make a quick decision as to where to place my 85 year old father for rehab following a mild heart attack that caught us all by surprise. I was given a list of centers by the hospital and literally had 24 hours to pick one. I chose Lakeland because of its location. The facility is clean, the staff is super friendly. They provide excellent transportation service to and from appointments. It may not be "home" for dad but he is comfortable, enjoys his physical therapy and the FOOD. This facility is a blessing to my mom and I.

My sister came to Lakeland for rehab and is now a long-term care resident. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. I have gotten to know most of the administrators and staff, and I have never met a kinder, more loving group of people. My sister is so well looked-after; they genuinely care for her and treat her very well. It is a super-clean place, and my sister eagerly tells me about all her good meals! She receives excellent physical and occupational therapy and enjoys participating in the activities. If you are considering Lakeland, take the time to go over there and meet with them
