Dr. Timothy Wiater founded Michigan Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Michigan Hand Therapy in 2012 in Birmingham, Michigan. We specialize in orthopaedic physical and occupational therapy, pediatric rehabilitation, massage therapy, sports medicine and hand therapy.

Services
Physical therapists are health care professionals who apply research and proven techniques to help people get back in motion. All physical therapists are required to receive a graduate degree - either a master's degree or a clinical doctorate - from an accredited physical therapist program before taking the national licensure examination that allows them to practice.
At Michigan Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, we are proud to offer pediatric services through Michigan Pediatric Rehab! M.P.R. is located right within our office. We have a private pediatric treatment gym where our therapists can deliver hands-on, individualized treatment plans without the distractions to optimize the patient-therapist interactions.
We are now pleased to offer lymphedema therapy by our Certified Lymphedema Therapist. Lymphedema is a condition that happens due to damage to the lymphatic system or removal of lymph nodes in which the affected extremity becomes swollen. Most commonly this occurs due to cancer treatment as a result of surgery and/or radiation.
I especially liked the fact that there was input from several therapists- all offering education on what I need to accomplish and the "push" to keep stretching and exercising and the results (positive, albeit slow) that are actually happening. Tim - You have an outstanding rehab practice!

Our office is now located on 13 Mile Road at the SE corner of the intersection of 13 Mile and Greenfield Rd. next to 7-Eleven. The building is west of Beaumont Hospital and just east of Greenfield. We are across the street from the Judson Center. Please bring a copy of your drivers license, insurance card and medication list to your first visit.

This is one medical outfit that you will not be disappointed with! Throughout my sporting career I have worked with numerous PT's and the experience here is far and away the best yet. Well thought out physical therapy, top notch PT's !! and a friendly staff. I'll also mention very well organized, timely, and this place is super clean!!!

I am so appreciative of everyone here. They all work together and each one cares about your full recovery to meet your goals. If I have questions I get answers. After shoulder surgery, naturally I was nervous about the recovery. After 6 weeks I am happy to say, with their excellent PT I am recovering nicely and I love it when I make big steps forward in my range of motion which happened again yesterday. Truly I would recommend Dr. Tim Wiater and his entire staff to anyone needing highly skilled Physical Therapy. They know just where I am in my recovery and how far they need to push me every step

Highest quality care. All the therapist are very knowledgeable and helpful, they work together so each can provide the best care and outcome for their patients. They didn't assume my injuries were like everyone else's injuries, I feel I got truly personalized therapeutic care. In an atmosphere that is always clean, friendly, and very professional.

The Physical Therapists are highly skilled, educated, and have helped me avoid surgery. I've often told them they know exactly where I hurt, and their magic touch relieved my pain. They consistently worked with me, and communicated what they were doing, documenting everything.
I felt very safe in their capable hands. I have healed without having to have surgery! A miracle because my shoulder, was severely damaged & my Dr suggested surgery. I opted for PT first & I'm thrilled I did.
