Services
Truro Preschool & Kindergarten has been serving families in Fairfax, Virginia, since 1979. TPK started with 9 children, and has grown over the years to a current capacity of up to 150 children. We believe that we have been created by a loving God whose intent is that we would be in relationship with Him and with others, and who has a purpose and good plan for our lives.
As a staff we are committed to providing a loving and nurturing environment for your child to grow. Children will learn that they are loved by God, their teachers, and the Preschool staff through the acceptance and encouragement they receive at school. We will tailor the classroom environment and activities to be appropriate to the developmental abilities of the children.
We'll send you an email as we process your registration to let you know how! What if the class I wanted is full? Most of the time, if your child is on a wait list for a preferred class, we will be able to accommodate you as changes occur on our roster. What happens next? Once you've completed your registration, you'll receive confirmation from us.
TPK is unique in the balanced value it places on encouraging our children's social-emotional, academic, and spiritual growth within a loving and fun community. As working parents, we especially appreciate the support we receive from teachers and leadership through the before and after school care program!

TPK is an amazing place for your child to grow and learn. The team of staff are so amazing and have loved my child so well. They have not only helped her academically, but socially and emotionally as well. But most importantly, they have taught her who Jesus is and that he dies for our sins. Love this school. I’ll be sad when our kids will be too old to attend.

Love this place and so does my daughter. Staff is friendly, patient and kind. I was so reluctant to send my little girl to school but after researching and visiting numerous places I found a place that works for us. We raise our daughter gentle and try not to punish so this place aligned with our values. They are all about teaching children emotional intelligence. They encourage them to love themselves, God, and others. They also encourage children to engage in discussion. So if a kid stole a toy from another kid and then they start fighting the teacher will encourage the kid who had the toy taken

We have been sending our son to TPK for two years now. We have sent our oldest to other preschools and this place can't be beat. They have the very best teachers and staff who are passionate about loving and leading the children who spend their days here. They are very organized and kind in their parent interactions and go above and beyond what is expected by having monthly parenting classes, with childcare, for the parents of their students. My 5 year old is in the transition class at Truro. He loves both his teacher and assistant teacher, Ms. Hammond and Ms. Johns. He can't wait to go to school every day and even wants to go on the wknds as well! He has become more articulate (we're from a bilingual home). And the teachers inculcate a love of reading which my son has learned from Truro. The weekly library session has been great and my son loves to be read to now.
