Best RV camping in East Texas outside of a state park! Boasting some of the clearest water in East Texas, a huge white-sand beach, and Texas-size RV campsites, Lake Hawkins RV Park is a destination you'll visit again and again. The lake has a surface area of 776 acres and is fed by several springs which keep it noticeably clearer than most other East Texas lakes and at a relatively stable level even in the worst droughts.
The park covers about 55 acres, half-wooded, and includes roughly 1800 feet of shoreline on Lake Hawkins, about 700 feet of which is a beautiful white-sand beach. They do allow you to reserve a specific site. They have a large area for tent campers, a very nice sandy beach, boat ramp, fishing pier, volleyball courts and a couple of cabins for rent.

Only a few nights in our lifetimes have we experienced temperatures in the lower teens. More likely is the occasional dip into the upper teens. But even exposed water pipes make it through okay as long as your faucets are left dripping overnight. It's been very rare for us to see a bit of freezing on the very fringe of the lake.
For those who have camping gear but don't want to mess with-a want more space-than a tent, our two shelters provide just the right balance between "roughing it" and "glamping." We can't call them "cabins" because they have no bed, fridge, stove, sink or anything else. But the DO have A/C and heat! So bring your sleeping bag, air mattress and ice chest full of food and you'll be good to go!
Did you know that we have a Pavilion you can rent to provide your group with a shaded place to enjoy a get-together or party. The Pavilion has 10 picnic tables and a large grill. You and your guest will enjoy a great view of the water and easy access to the Sandy Beach Swimming Area. The Pavilion can be rented by any group no matter how small.
When compared to other equally nice parks, you'll find the rates for our wide array of facilities to be very competitive. Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel, out of respect, please do so AT LEAST one week in advance. We've all been cooped up for a few months so this is a great way to get out and celebrate with still keeping our social distance! Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The Sheriff will lead the parade again this year! Please stop by Taste of Italy waterfront to register your boat at 5:30pm.

Not only is it a beautiful place to stay but the people there are outstanding. You'll never meet a friendlier more caring bunch of people not only does that include the managers who are absolutely wonderful, but every last one of the workers. Even the children are outstanding, polite, and very hard workers. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Sandra and Chuck Richoz

Well maintained, clean RV camping spots. A picnic table, fire pit and grill is provided along with electric, water and sewer hook up. There is a dump station. Bathhouses are on site. They have an adorable store in case you forgot anything or if you just want a souvenir, snack or complimentary coffee. You can fish and swim while there or just lounge on the beach or play volleyball. Family and dog friendly. There is also food vendor and snow cone shop across the street and Italian restaurant nearby.
