Our original business entity was created and began doing business in 1978 under the name of Abstracting Company of Chester County, more commonly known as ABCO of Chester County or ABCO. In 1997, ABCO founded a cooperative venture which began operations under the name Countywide Abstract, LTD Partnership.
We maintain communication between our offices and lenders, brokers, attorneys, real estate agents, buyers and sellers to ensure a timely, accurate production of the closing disclosure, a compilation of all the fees and charges being collected, paid and disbursed from the closing in accordance with TRID regulations.
Title Insurance protects purchasers of real estate or lenders making a loan for real estate, against financial loss due to outstanding issues against a property. Unlike other forms of insurance, the title insurance premium is a one-time payment and the owner's policy remains in effect as long as the original buyer, or their heirs own the property.
